Although it might not seem like it, who would believe Texas have been around for over a decade now!! They have now released their Greatest hits album, and even those who have thought Texas are not a band you can listen easily are satisfied. There are no weak links. All the favorites like "Say what you want", "Halo", "Inner smile", "In our lifetime", and "I don't want a lover!
My first experience of Texas live was the Radio 1's one big sunday in Ipswich in August. Texas did a mini 20 min set after the event, and the crowds that had stood for over 3hrs did not budge. Texas rocked the 85,000 people packed into the park and promised to come back. Sharleen was thrilled to perform in Ipswich, but not as much as the crowd were thrilled to see Texas!
Their music appeals to all ages, and their songs have been on many compilation albums such as the "Now thats what I call music" collections, "Top gear Anthems" collections and numerous others. Even my parents who have been known to have dodgy tastes in music have their albums such as "Black eyed boy". The music is a mixture of relaxing songs, songs to stir the emotions and good old fun lovin lyrics.
This album is timeless and should be in every music collection!
