Advantages: Wicked guitar & vocals and paints a lot of different pictures of life and love.
Disadvantages: Romantic at times but could be taken as a pessimistic view of love.

This is an album, which I have played over and over again, over the last 30 years. No wonder it was such a hit, when it was released in 1976. It was music tailor made for long, hot summers! As a classic, best-selling album it has something for everyone, from the foot tapping, uptempo 'Take It Easy" - a track which is great when you are driving in your car - to the more melancholy, reflective tracks of "Desperado' and "Take It to the Limit". This is the best-selling album of all-time. It is a collection of songs from the early career of 'The Eagles'. All of the tracks are great. This is completely different music than that which the band would later make famous on Hotel California, but equally as good. There are several country-styled rockers 'Take It Easy', 'Lyin' Eyes', 'Peaceful Easy Feeling', etc, that the early Eagles records did so well. However, there are several differently styled ...
...Love' are two great ballads, while 'Witchy Woman' and 'One of These Nights' are forays into different styles of music. All of them are great, however. The Eagles are undoubtedly one of the best and most successful band in rock 'n' roll history, and this disc is a perfect retrospective of their early years.
