Advantages: The voice, the songs, the ecstasy Disadvantages: The lack of respect
...Carpenter was blessed and then cursed with a purity of sound that has never been matched. And then we come to La Streisand.
Let’s backtrack a little here. I only have a couple of MP3s of Sarah McLachlan tracks and I have never owned anything at all by The Carpenters. I think their voices are divine, but the material has never matched up. I love BarbraStreisand as an actress having been introduced to What’s Up Doc by my father at a young age, but I was never taken with her as a performer. Same story as before – perfect voice, perfectly ordinary songs.
But Guilty is different. Guilty is serendipitous. Guilty is the most exquisite cocktail. Guilty is when you mix two things that you know aren’t good for you and the sum is greater than all the other parts in the world. Guilty is where Streisand sings Gibb. In my last review comments were left...

An excellent album Review ofLive Concert At The Forum - BarbraStreisandby
zzooiiaa
Advantages: good songs Disadvantages: just one cd, I wishe there were two or three
...This is an exceptional album that I really enjoy listening to. It is Barbara Streisand`s second live album and it was recorded long ago in 1972. If you own her first live album you will be able to make the difference between the two. It shows how much her music has grown and diversified. Although she hasn`t played at concerts for nearly 5 years Barbara Streisand has often played in Casino`s in Las Vegas. There is very funny monologue where she pretends to be smoking marijuana. Two interesting facts- 1. This was Barbra's final album with producer Richard Perry and 2. Barbara Streisand has release one live album for every decade she has performed in, probably unintentionally. The big showpiece in this album is "Where You Lead/ Sweet Inspiration." The album can nowardays be bought very cheaply, starting from 2.50 pounds....

A fantastic decade Review ofAll The Way...A Decade Of Song - Celine Dionby
schizochico
Advantages: New tracks Disadvantages: Not all the singles
...This is Celine’s greatesthits, with only 9 of them on here. It’s disappointing that The reason (one of my favourite Celine tracks, and Tell Him with BarbraStreisand aren’t on here, but it is a relief to see no sign of Treat Her Like a Lady, Celine’s rather dodgy attempt at reggae released off the Let’s Talk About Love album. The singles on here are superb though, opening with The Power Of Love, then beauty And The Beast, which is a nice duet, but I have to say Angela Lansbury did it better as Mrs Potts the teapot in the film itself. Think Twice is amazing and Because You Loved Me is extremely unforgettable. It’s All Coming Back To Now is very pleasant, and Immortality with the Bee Gees (who are mysteriously uncredited in the tracklisting) is great too. To Love You More, along with I’m Your Angel (with R Kelly) are the weakest singles...
