Advantages: Part 2 of a great group's career Disadvantages: Inconsistent - a few also-rans
...encounter with David Bowie, ran rings around anything the Thin White Duke had done for ages (it's a shame Vanilla Ice went on to make such a horrendous job of it), and the ambitious "Innuendo" showed that they were far from running out of ideas even when time was running out for Freddie. Some you win, some you lose, but at their best Queen were superb, and this set proves it.
The packaging is far superior to that on the first GreatestHits, though the single version of "I Want To Break Free" which you will find here is not the same as the album version on "The Works", which lacks the spine-chilling synth intro and just has a couple of bars of a single guitar chord strummed over and over....

Advantages: Excellent pictures inside Disadvantages: No Rain
...Madonna has been around for twenty years, and she will be around for probably another twenty years, and this album pinpoints why she managed to carry on changing her image and music. This album reached number 2 in 2001 (beaten by Westlife!) and fell out the charts quickly unlike her previous GreatestHits, The Immaculate Collection, still visits the charts and has sold 40 million copies worldwide and counting. Why is this? This is a strong album of her greatesthits! She was touring when this came out and her tours were very successful. This album was promoted everywhere (I still have postcards from restaurants advertising it). Most people say that it was September 11th which did it (it came out a week later) and America was under scutiny. I don't think this. I don't know what it is, but this isn't it.
