Mark Owen was the pretty one in Take That, whose shining moment was singing lead vocals in their hit 'Babe' - but this pleasant little tune did very little to show off his vocal talents & I wasn't expecting much from is debut album 'Green Man'. But I was pleasantly surprised ! More indie & rock than pop, Mark Owen displays a versatility & style few would have suspected. This album is excellent, including the singles 'Clementine' & 'Child', but for me, the best tracks on this are 'Ask Him To' & 'My Love', both of which are beautiful, with haunting lyrics & great tunes. Since this album, he seems to have disappeared again, but hopefully he will return with more of his music. Highly recommended.

Advantages: Some excellent tracks, beautiful lyrics, written by Mark himself... Disadvantages: Overshadowed by Robbie, underrated by the music buying public...
