This album is one of my favoriets. It's not a new album anymore, but I still keep listening to it every so often.
If you think this will be like Take That music, then you're wrong. Gary Barlow was writing most of the Take That songs. Green man was the first album, that Mark Owen wrote. It is very very different. I would discribe it as a bit "grunch".
btw. : the pictures in the booklet are great as well. Inspiring.
I don't find albums very often, where I can listen to every single song. Usually you buy an album and you like one, two maybe 3 songs out of it, but on this one, I don't want to turn if off, untill it's finished. I find the lyrics are very interesting and it's worth to listen to the songs a couple of times, just to understand the real meaning.
Here's a bit about the songs: 1. Green man 2. Clementine,: was released as a single (the name was taken from a diner in which Mark wrote the song) 3. Child: was Marks first single 4. Are you with me 5. Naturally 6. Ask him to 7. backpocket and me 8. move on 9. secondhand wonderland 10. my love (this is my favorite, a great love song) 11. I am what I am: was the 3rd and last single from this album 12. Is that what it's all about
My verdict is, that everyone should at least listen to this album once. Either you will love it, or you will hate it. But like I said, it's got nothing to do with Take That music! I think it's great.

When you turn green you can put in pictures. That would be a great idea for you as you write about the inlay. A little more expansion on the song would be helpful though. xx

It doesn't really say much about the music, I'm afraid. It may be different from Take That, but how?
Advantages: Some excellent tracks, beautiful lyrics, written by Mark himself... Disadvantages: Overshadowed by Robbie, underrated by the music buying public...
