This is a very fine, well-recorded collection of essential Grieg at a rock-bottom price. ... more
The Peer Gynt music is quite simply the finest "incidental" score ever written. Had Grieg been a modern composer, this would have been a film soundtrack, and it would have sold something like a billion copies by now. Grieg was always most comfortable working in short, lyrical forms; this music has retained its springlike freshness for over 120 years and shows no sign of going stale anytime soon. Here's a piece of trivia for you: the famous "Morning" scene from Peer Gynt, which everyone associates with some primal Scandinavian dawn, actually takes place in the Sahara desert! David Hurwitz

the incidental music to "PeerGynt." Grieg responded to the moods and scenes of the drama with a string of characterful and memorable tone-pictures. The incidental music to PeerGynt was written in 1875, and first performed, with the play, in February 1876. It comprised some 23 movements, written for a small theatre orchestra and chorus. Grieg extracted 8 of these in 1888 and 1891 after it had become evident that the play in its original form would not be frequently revived and re-orchestrated them for full orchestra in two Suites, In Grieg's own lifetime the "PeerGynt" music scored a resounding international success.
It is comprised of two orchestral suites. (Not many people know that)

"Get Paid To Do Almost Nothing On Your Computer". Enticing, isn't it? At first, the curious me was also attracted to this banner too. This is from Gomez PEER, and it says that, by leaving our computers on every minute and connecting them to the internet, we earn some cash. The question is, how do we earn cash by leaving our machines on? Ok, it's a safe program that runs in the background of your computer while you are doing other activities. The PEER also uses very small bandwith to measure the performance of the websites we visit. Something good about the program is that it will not have any interference on our activities, such that our machines will remain as it is and the PEER continues to do its work. Plus, even if you are a dial-up, DSL, Cable, Satellite or ISDN user, you can join Gomez PEER.

Advantages: Earn Cash by doing almost nothing Disadvantages: Need patience, luck and referrals for it to be profitable
Earn Free Cash from your PC? Hmm...
When I first came across Gomez Peer and its enticing advertisements claiming you can gain money by virtually doing almost nothing, I too was skeptical and cynical about it-like most people. I wasnt a veteran in online money making at that time (am still not now :) ), and I wanted to make sure that this venture is legalitimate. I did a lot of research by myself, surfting the Net for possible breaking news of scam by this company, and found that it is generally a safe program to run on my computer. From what I have read on the Net, most people seem to agree that Gomez Peer is a relatively safe and secure program to be run in your computer (it is a web monitoring program to process data in foreign servers such as in China or South Korea, where demands for such e-services are high). While some die ...
