Advantages: Some new and different sounds from the band Disadvantages: Disappointing opening and closing tracks
The morning of Saturday 8th November was an exciting one. One week after being informed by CDWOW that the new Blue CD, Guilty, was winging its way to me, the thud through the letterbox told me it was here. I immediately got Paul to work, taping it for my car as I was travelling to and from Manchester and I have no CD player in my car. I was hoping that the trip would give me ample opportunity to listen to the album a few times – what I wasn’t banking ... ...expecting replies to his every question and statement. Unfortunately, not much listening took place.
But now it is all quiet so I’ve grabbed my CD player and I’m going to have a proper listen to the album, with hopefully no interruptions. Of course, it’s all in the name of Ciao research – oh yes, and the fact that I’m going to see them live at the end of the month so have got to learn the lyrics fast!
Blue have been around for a couple of years ...

Advantages: Really good vocals and superb opening tracks Disadvantages: Not a typical BLUE sound on many tracks.
...in the top 10, whilst, Guilty got to number 2 and, Signed Sealed Delivered only reached number 13. If BLUE want to remain the coolest and most credible boy-bands then they have to release one of the first 6 songs on the album. A good start, but a slightly disappointing follow up to "One Love". ...

Advantages: Some very strong songs, Blue at their best Disadvantages: none!
Blue first burst onto the music scene in 2001 with their debut single 'All Rise' which was the start of their chart domination and sell-out tours. The group consisted of Simon Webba, Lee Ryan (one of the most amazing vocalists ever!), Antony Costa and Duncam James. Their first number one came with their second single 'Too Close' quickly follewed by another chart topper in the form of their first album. Every album the boys have delivered has been ... ...album is definately no exception to that rule.
The title track and first single taken from the CD, 'Guilty', along with 'No Goodbyes' and 'When Summer's Gone', shows the heart-felt and moving ballads that the lads do oh-so-well. But a fair number of the songs also show the more edgy and rockier sound that they also are amazing at delivering. Tracks like this include 'Walk Away'.
A personal favourite of mine on the album is the beautiful ballad ...

Advantages: More songs by them sexy boys Disadvantages: Neighbours telling you to turn it down!
Well for a third album the blue boys have definately matured since "All Rise". Gone are the clean shaven faces, and clean cut image. Now we see the boys true selves and feelings.
I love this album, and can safely say there is not one song I don't like, maybe I'm biased being a blue fan myself. It definately appeals to older people and guys as well as women.
Most of the songs on this album relates to things that have or are happening in the guys ... ...Featuring the old classic " Signed, Sealed, Delivered I'm yours" originally by Stevie Wonder, gives the album credit from the start, showing that big artists like Stevie and Angie Stone have respaect for their music. A few songs were co-written by Gary Barlow, an ex Take That member.
My favourites are "Guilty ", When summers gone" , "Breathe easy " and "No goodbyes".
I would recommended this to any age any gender. ...

Advantages: Fairly cheap CD Disadvantages: Some duff tracks
...The "Now That's What I Call Music" series is on the EMI label and it feels like it's been around forever. I have "Now 6" from 1986 lying around somewhere and in those days there was a "secret" bonus track on the double vinyl edition.
In November 2003 "Now 56" was released. The double CD complication which cost £14 apparently (I don't own it but someone was playing it!) contains the following songs, some of which I will give my opinion on. I'm not generally a fan of compilations as the "skip" button needs to be used a lot on the CD player. Or "fast forward" if it's a cassette! Indeed, I could have done without some of these songs blasting in my ears.
1 Where Is The Love? - Black Eyed Peas
2 Sweet Dreams My LA Ex - Rachel Stevens
3 Slow - Kylie Minogue
4 Guilty - Blue
5 Be Faithful - Fatman Scoop (Feat. The Crooklyn...

Advantages: Some good hit singles on this Disadvantages: Some lame tracks
...When Take That split in 1996, Gary went on to make 2 solo albums and did a few tours, before deciding to become a full time writer (recent hits include "Guilty" by Blue). "Open Road" was the first of his 2 albums. It's probably only available second-hand or from an internet site.
Here is a full track listing.
1. Love Won't Wait
2. So Help Me Girl
3. My Commitment
4. Hang On In There Baby
5. Are You Ready Now
6. Everthing I Ever Wanted
7. I Fall So Deep
8. Lay Down for Love
9. Forever Love
10. Never Know
11. Open Road
12. Always
I'll go through each song one at a time.
LOVE WON'T WAIT
This song was written by Madonna even though she isn't credited. Shep Pettibone is mentioned as producer and writer though.
It's a great catchy song - the sort of mid-tempo tunes Gary seems to find difficult to write...

Advantages: theyve brought all of their best songs together on one album Disadvantages: it has old songs and you might want some new songs
...I won this on CD in a radio competition and am a great fan of blue. On this album you sort of know what your getting because it has all of those blue classics which includes three number one tracks All Rise, Guilty etc. are on it There are some new tracks on the album indluding their latest single "Curtain falls". This album will appeal alot to blue fans but if your not a fan I wouldnt say is for you, if you havent really heard their music blue sing quite alot of ballady type songs but also do quite afew dance tracks. Also on the ablum their are two duets including their duet with Stevie Wonder "Signed Sealed delivered" and their duet with Elton John "Sorry Seems to be the hardest word" this album is a must have for Blue Fans...
