Advantages: Unusual, highly talented flat picking guitarist Disadvantages: Not any that I know of
...never heard of until 3 years ago?His music was introduced to me by a French colleague, who had been taught guitar by him, and said that I just had to listen to this boy play guitar.
I was absolutely stunned by Marcel's techical guitar skills and the absolute simplicity that he appeared to be giving to his music. Although he faithfully followed the instrumental styles of ChetAtkins, Merle Travis and Jerry Reed, he was in many ways a much more varied musician too and played renderings of Vivaldi and Mozart, Nashville Rumba as well as his own country compositions.

Three of my favourite tracks are La Madrugada (the dawn), the Third Man Theme from the classic movie of the same name, (originally played...

Advantages: Great guitar, good jazz, relaxing Disadvantages: few
...duet, playing with himself so to speak, "My Funny Valentine". This is a beautiful piece, mostly played with one guitar, but he overdubs a few melodies and lead breaks over the top.
"Do You Know What It Means To Miss New Orleans?" is the second duet with ChetAtkins, and in this one, while it is still clean and crisp, both of them take more advantage of the opportunity to solo over each other.

The final duet with Atkins is "Here, There and Everywhere", a Lennon and McCartney song, played slowly...

Advantages: All his best hits on 1 cd Disadvantages: There are none that i can find
...Johnny Cash who performed with several other artists including, Elvis, Buddy Holly, Car Perkins, ChetAtkins and of course his wife June Carter Cash.
This man for me is the King of Country his styles have changed from what ever style or frame of mind he was in at the time, his voice offers both depth and tone to any song even a badly written song perfromed by JC sounds good.
He spent time in prison and engaged these visits into his music and portrayed him self to be an honest man by hiding no facts that he had strayed from the right ways of life he also encourage others to do the same, come clean and your fans will understand and love you more for being truthful he told one country star.
This cd embraces the best of him and his styles with his country guitar riffs and deep voice some of his best hits ever are on this cd, his...
