Advantages: insert opinion here Disadvantages: the long wait until volume 2
...- Photograph - 4:06
This is a real classic song from Def Leppard. Steve Clark and Phil Collen are two amazing guitarplayers and did not let anyone down with this hit. The start is a piece of guitar music which I could listen to over and over again, the rest is not that worse.

9. The Troggs - Wild Thing - 2:34
A short and sweet melody from the Troggs. It is the original and best; as is so often the case; no other band has ever replicated the song as good as the Troggs.
8/10
10. David Bowie - Rebel Rebel - 4:30
This is a great classic song with yet another foot-tapping guitar intro. The lyrics do not let the song down, I personally think that this is David Bowie's best song, at least his best song guitar-wise.

Advantages: A couple of decent tunes... Disadvantages: Status Quo...ugh..
...on the first CD is Higher Ground by the Chilli peppers. This is remnant of their earlier funk rock, as opposed to the Stadium Arcadium release of late. Its fairly guitar driven and you can throw yourself around the living room dismembering scatter cushions as you go to this song.
And to be honest there really are'nt that other many songs that you can do that to on this album. Even the studio version of Thin Lizzys Dont believe a word sounds a little jaded. Althougha fabulous song, youre better off listening to the live version. As the version on here is just a little weak and watered down like Student Union Beer. Unlike The house of the Rising Sun by the Animals. My God, it sounds like it was recorded on someones tape player in the toilet of a concert. But I am being unfair, I mean this song has chuffed its way right form the 60's and seems...

Advantages: Great range of guitar styles and songs Disadvantages: Missing some key guitar players
...appreciation for many of the artists involved on this CD, being a guitarplayer myselft I feel that they have indeed (probably depiberately so you must purchase other compilations) overlooked some of the fundemental musicians that I aspire to. Where is Mark Knopfler and his Sultans, or Slash's Jungle (or his dear Sweet Child!), or even the ranked number one at almost every poll asking the public "Who is the greatest Guitarist of all time?", JIMI HENDRIX!!!!!
Understandably, the sound of Guns and Roses may not be the tune to everyones ear however a compilation is supposed to show a broad range of its object (in this case the guitar) and so having missed out the founding bricks of many artists, I did feel slightly disappointed when I purchased this Compilation myselft. Nonetheless, it is still a great album to appreciate and I will be airing...
