Advantages: Ray Charles Greatest Hits ! Disadvantages: ?
...by the Raelettes…Somewhere in the middle of the song, the people that are listening his performance they get involved too, asking for more…just amazing!
This song the way is made and the way was composed made me love it more than all the other…10/10 (6:26)
4) "HallelujahIloveherso" - it is a very cheerful song, it is about "the girl next door" that which he says he lovesherso much. This song was in the top 5 in 1956, and it was representing Charles' first tentative into the lucrative pop-crossover market. Ray's rumbling piano intro is sky-high in sanctified drive before the horns enter, brisk and bright; the rhythm of this song it's an invitation on the dance floor, so take your partner and do as it is asked! 10/10 (2:32)
5) "Hit the road Jack" - is my No.1 song! Ilove this one so much, and I have to confess that is my favorite line to say when...

Advantages: The most bluesy Brit singer ever--top notch hard rock Disadvantages: A couple of the tracks go on and on and on...
...and gritty vocals from all three of the front-men.
"Stone Cold Crazy" doesn't let the side down, and to be fair "Walk On Gilded Splinters" is very atmospheric. It just goes on far, far too long.
Stevie finally gets to fulfill his RayCharles fantasies on "HallelujahILoveHerSo" and the show (and disc) climaxes with "I Don't Need No Doctor". At nine-minutes plus it also flirts with pushing the tedium envelope--hand clapping over a bass riff does not make rivetting listening--but when the band surge back in after the "audience participation" interlude it almost lifts your scalp clean off.
Great stuff, and all of the fuzz-fixated "Heavy Metal" groups of today should listen to this and maybe pick up some tips on how to play with real power.
So, overall it's a Pie with a nice, crisp crust but with a filling that's a tad too stodgy and over...

Advantages: Its Ray Charles Disadvantages: Its not the real Ray Charles
...RayCharles, the man was a musical Genius of this there is no doubt at all. Genuis is a far too frequently used word these days with very few deserving of the accolade.
So Genius loves company, how does it measure up? Its a nice album of duets featuring the great man and some of todays other musicians.
It is a nice album with some very nice tracks but it doesn't give a good representation of Ray at his finest.
The best three tracks for my money were:
Here we go again - Featuring Norah Jones
It was a very good year - Featuring Willie Nelson
You don't know me - Featuring Diana Krall
Genius Love Company is definately worth owning if just for these three tracks.
If you would like to experience RayCharlesi would recommend that you purchase The Definitive RayCharles double CD a much more complete picture of the man....
