Hand That Rocks The Tables, The (Mixed By DJ Rectangle) - Various Artists

Advantages: Great variety, Awesome songs, Superior Mixing by Andy C!
Disadvantages: Wish it was longer!!

...Having always been an Andy C fan, I got this CD as soon as I heard about it and saw that it had received several awards which made me even more excited! The variety of tracks found on the two CDs is amazing! 29 tracks on the first CD and 14 on the 2nd. Eventhough the tracks vary so much, they way they are mixed together by Andy C just makes the whole CD flow along into one long pleasurable experience! I actually took this cd to my friends in the states to listen on the long drives there and they listen to country and rock.. but after I played this CD we were listening to it over and over on the long drives! I gotta say, fantastic road music, makes the drive go by quickly. ...Just got this CD accidentally. This was fortunate error because it really is good. I have never heard of these artists or DJ Matthew Grim. But EVERYTHING on Hypnotic Journey is amazing. I highly recommend this well mixed CD. From begining to the end the progression just keeps you moving and grooving. I never wanted it to end. I can't really define the exact genre of the music but it is basically progressive trance/house hybrid. ? ? You just have to hear it you won't be disappointed. DJ Matthew Grim delivers the goods. In the world of generic sounding watered down electronic music it is refreshing to see this DJ taking major chances with his musical selections. It really is a Hypnotic Journey!!!!!!... Read review

...Keoki has been heading up (or just mixing!) quality compilations for years, and they just keep getting better. Look at his back catalogue and you will find that he literally is a "Superstar DJ". We all know that it is the label that puts these compilations together, but Keoki is able to addd that unique edge to anything he lays his hands on. Although not too well known in the UK, he is a big name DJ in the US. He is often overlooked by promoters mainly for that reason - which is our loss. This compilation takes his seamless style one step further. Just listen to any of the multitude of compilations around - they just dig up a mixture of the current dancefloor tunes and throw in a couple of classics for good measure. With Keoki, you are guaranteed a quality mixture of top tunes - some you may of heard, some you definitely... Read review
