My Top Ten Films.
As a movie lover, where do you start and how do you put them in order?
So I started writing a list but it just kept on growing!
Some of the films will probably be predictable but some might surprise you, read on Mc Duff......

1.It's A Wonderful life.

Truly my favourite film of all time.
Starring:
James Stewart and Donna Reed.
Synopsis:
George Bailey truly has the weight of the world on his shoulders. George, who always wanted to travel the world, finds himself trapped in the building and loan bank, having to run it when his father passes away. After various setbacks he wishes he had never existed and an angel, Clarence, allows him to see what life without him would have been like.
No wife, children or friends. All of them, terribly affected by his non existence.

long after I watch them. So in no particular order, here are my own top ten movies.
The Shawshank Redemption - 1994
Right from the very first time I watched this movie I was hooked. I have probably seen it at least 10 times now, and every time I see it I notice something new. The first time you see it you will become so immersed in the storyline you miss things, like the music and cinematography. My favourite parts of the film for instance are when you see Andy Dufresne (who is serving a life sentence for murder) sitting on the roof with a smile on his face, just enjoying his fellow inmates pleasure at having a few beers at his expense..you can just for one minute put yourself in his shoes and know the freedom he feels in that moment?the normality, and again when he manages to lock himself in the governors office and plays ...
Advantages: They're all great movies... Disadvantages: ... there're only ten of them (beside the extras I squeezed in! :-D)
), Nicholas Cage in a serious role. I can't usually stand was-time dramas and I'm no fan of Penelope Cruz (& I don't even think she's good looking!), but this is excellent and truly moving. The Germans are portrayed rather stereotypically but that's a necessary plot device and almost definitely how those who suffered under them at the time would have felt about them.

Essentially a rejiggered version of 1990's OVER UNDER SIDEWAYS DOWN: A COMPREHENSIVE COLLECTION 1963-1968, HAPPENINGS TEN YEARS TIME AGO 1964-1968 updates the previous collection with higher quality sound and a couple of track changes. Differences aside, this remains the only single-disc Yardbirds best-of that gives equal attention to the vastly underrated psychedelic period featuring Jimmy Page, as most compilations focus on the much vaunted Eric Clapton and Jeff Beck years. Six of the cuts come from their last studio record, LITTLE GAMES (the only full-length to feature Page), including "White Summer," a modal instrumental that Page revisited with Led Zeppelin. Along with the deeper psychedelic cuts, listeners will find the highlights from the Yardbirds canon--"For Your Love," "Heart Full of Soul," and "The Train Kept A-Rollin'," for instance--making this the perfect start for beginners or those looking for all the essentials in one place.
