Advantages: Keeps children amused and excited Disadvantages: You get carried away with all the fun
About 5 years ago when I started my job in the nursery, I came across a group called the HappyGang. They were a trio, 2 guys and a lady who put on shows for children under 8 and had lots of singing dancing and fun going on in their shows. A group I thought who were similar to The Singing Kettle another Scottish Group.
Well last year I saw their show for the first time! The show was all about them being pirates and we sang songs and had lots of joining in! I really enjoyed the show and my then 2 year old just loved it! I started to realise that they were funky and there was a lot of audience participation.
The trio consists of Mr P (who I think Is meant to be in charge). He constantly falls asleep and you have to shout "WAKE UP MR P!" when you see him having a snooze!

Advantages: Bright with Lots of songs to sing along to. Disadvantages: Nothing that I can think of.
My 3 year old daughter was obsesed with the tweenies until she saw the Happygang live at Jenners in Edinburgh.
The HappyGang are made up of Spatz, Nicky and Mr P. They sing songs that are very easily remembered and catchy tunes, they have vidoes, tapes, CD's and live shows.
The HappyGang have been going for around 5 years and are base in Edinburgh but tour throughout Britian and there show have the audience of all ages captivated from start to finish. The three of them take on another role each whether it is on stage or in their videos.
Spatz has a habit of always wanting to eat and as soon as the children see him eating the shout "Spatz you're so greedy". He is alwasy dresses in yellow and blue, and his gran, granny Spatz who is very fit pops round to the HappyGang's house.
Nicky is always sneezing when she goes "Ah ...

Advantages: Magical stories, timeless classics, will get you in the Xmas spirit! Disadvantages: Nothing at all
the presents where he attends a party full of snowmen, just like in the Snowman! James is also in this cartoon, which is great for young children to see continuity. Also, this cartoon has one of the greatest catchphrases, the use of Father Christmas saying "bloomin' " all the time! It is funny for young children to hear Father Christmas say that, especially when he says "And a merry bloomin' christmas to you an' all" at the end!
Father Christmas is voiced by the wonderful Mel Brooks, who plays a gruff and grumpy Mr Claus. It is quite a sattirical cartoon, in that Father Christmas is not the cheerful happy man we all think, he is actually quite the opposite! He is recognised by normal people throughout the cartoon, enstilling the thought in young children that he really does exist, and I used to look around madly when I was young trying to catch ...
