Advantages: A good mix of songs Disadvantages: Doesnt help you get through the housework
A cd thats a couple of years old now but still fun to listen to.
I mean this cd says its meant to help you through the housework but I personally dont think it really does,if anything it distracts you, because you just start singing along to all the great tracks this album has to offer, you get caught up in the music and completely lose track of what you were doing - maybe a good thing in a way :-)
Housework vol1 is a double album that has some cracking songs that you just dont seem to hear on the radio anymore such as The Beach Boys - Help Me Rhonda and Don McLeans - American Pie.
The songs on this album just make you feel good and really help to lift your spirits, but I honestly think its marketed wrong, this is a feel good album for anyone just not people doing the housework.I dont think the title of the album really represents ...
Advantages: A few scarface film samples Disadvantages: Nearly the whole thing
Many people have been influenced by the scarface film and the rap genre has especially referenced to it man songs. This is now an official compilation of songs with money, power and respect themes. as you would imagine, all are rap.
Put together in 2003, this def jam idea includes songs by Nas, Mobb Deep and Notorious BIG, some made especially for the album some old tracks that just fit. None appear in the film but there are samples and dialouge used from the picture.
Tracks
Its Mine - Mobb Deep & Nas. Scarface cues used as the sample in this one which was originally put t ogether in 99. A good relevant track to start the album
Yeo - Cam'ron. Samples Rush Rush which is used in the film, rush rush get the yayo may be more familiar. best bit about the song is actually the sample with cam'rons raps not adding much but loads ...
Advantages: Great songs Disadvantages: Lack of well-known artists may put some people off.
The soundtrack to the OC has always been one of the major selling points of the television series. This CD features 12 of the tracks found on the soundtrack of the television series.
The CD includes the hugely popular theme song "California" by Phantom Planet as well as other songs from the series. My personal favourites include Alexi Murdoch's "Orange Sky" and the brilliant "We Used To Be Friends" by the Dandy Warhols.
The mixture of styles of music makes for a unique CD, and the songs all fit perfectly into the album.
This CD is essential for any fan of the television series and the songs will bring back memories of some of the show's most memorable moments. Highly recommended ...

Album Notes
When one hears about a producer/DJ releasing a new mix CD, what one most often does not expect to hear is a collection of quiet singer-songwriter fare. And yet that's pretty much what's on offer on Trentemoller's HARBOUR BOAT TRIPS 01: COPENHAGEN. In amongst wispy offerings like Emiliana Torrini's "Lifesaver" and Grouper's weirdly ethereal but strikingly pretty "Heavy Water/I'd Rather Be Sleeping," are startling entries like a Raveonettes version of Joy Division's post-punk classic "She's Lost Control" and a large-ensemble version of Soft Cell's "Tainted Love," both of which are excellent. For the most part a languid, semi-acoustic ambience prevails through most of the program, creating a quirkily enjoyable mood.
