I am sorry if I am in the minority here, but I can't stand this album. I am a die hard madonna fan, who has always absolutely loved all of her stuff, but I just can't get into Hard Candy. I don't know whether it is because I am not a lover of R&B but I find that the songs lack meaning, have no heart or soul, no real tune to speak of (except 4 minutes which is about the only track that I can listen to), they just seem to meandre along with no proper structure to them, with Madonna wailing along in the background. This is certainly NOT Madonna back to her best - there were better songs on the American Life album, even though that got slated. God help us all and the music industry if this is classed as brilliant music.
