Hard House Nation 2 is mixed, like its predecesor, by Lisa Pin Up and Andy Farley. Some of the tracks on this are also featured on Hard House Nation 1 (wonder when the third will come out?), and most, if not all will be featured on some other bog standard compilation. To be fair, there are a few crackin tracks on this CD, such as Rachel Auburn-Screwdriver, Allnighters-Black is Black, and Ollie Jaye-Feel so Good, but this is really no different to most other compilations on the shelves. If you want something decent and a bit less commercial, try a compilation by Nick Rafferty and again Andy Farley, called "The Harder they Come". Farley demonstrates a more bangin, less commercial set and even includes a track by the super-duper R R Fierce. Alternatively, you could try one of the six Nukleus compilations, if you still want to hear the tunes you know and love.

These people wouldn't know hard house if it puked in their shoes. I only ever buy compilation albums if they are from a specific label, that way you know what yer getting and you don't end up with a load of dodgy tunes and a couple of good ones. Find a copy of Tripoli Trax volume 2 for some decent hard house, you even get that OD404 'Block party' tune with the 'hear the drummer get wicked' sample. Cheers.
