Advantages: A different, new style of Trance Disadvantages: Not to all tastes.
A good album, I bought this 3 CD set in 2008 for £15 off the net. First of all, don't expect this to be a normal Euphoria CD. Most of the music is Goa(India) derived and it is a completely new sound in terms of usual trance. Headed by John '00' Fleming and 00 db. It has a distinct Asian feel to it, which I think is rather good, but I don't think it would suit all tastes. Many of the artists I have never heard of.
John Fleming gives good commentary explaining his views and thoughts on his choices of tracks. The package is bright, very colourful and imagative and the discs are all coloured brightly. Is this the way forward in trance now? We'll wait and see. Highly recommended.

Dave Pearce is a DJ which is synonymous with classic dance as a resulted of his long standing radio show on BBC Radio 1 entitled 'Dance Anthems'. Off the back of this success he has released a long line of classics compilations. This is another installment of what has proved to be a highly successful series. The title my mis-lead, TranceAnthems 2009 may suggest to some that this is 3 CD's of the finest in brand new trance 2009 has had and will have to offer. Unfortunately though this is not really the case. On the other side as you may expect, you have 2 CD's crammed full of all of the usual tracks we've come to know and love/hate (Delete as appropriate) over the last decade. Dave Pearce, the radio 1 dj who is big in the clubs and on selling cds! As a dj myself, i can honestly look at Dave Pearce and say he is achieveing great things, that of which many other djs envy. His tranceanthems series are seemingly a big hit and i for one buy them all the time. but recently ive had a few problems with them as ive had with most cds of this sort. Has anyone else noticed they all seem rather similar to the one before? heres what you can expect.
BIG HITS
There are a few new additions from the last cd including Mauro Picotto with "LIzard", and verracocha are on there too. It is a great mix of old and new but some of the great new hits like "The Anthem" by Peri and Filo isnt on here which i find really dissappointing. Its a big track in the clubs and one Dave Pearce helped bring to life by regularly playing on air ...
