Masters of Metal

Advantages: Superb album all round, with Sweet Leaf on it.
Disadvantages: Um...it's another album which you HAVE to shell out on.

Masters of Reality is considered by some to Black Sabbath’s finest album, and it’s a damn fine piece of music even if I, a certified Sabbath nut, do say so. This really saw Black Sabbath breaking away from their blues roots and travelling down the heavier, more evil path that the dark nature of the music seemed to demand. Live (ish !)

Advantages: Great tunes
Disadvantages: overdubs !

The legend that surrounds this album is not so much about the playing or songs but about the amount of studio overdubbing that was added later ! The truth finally transpired that it was onlt the vocals that were re done and that the whole gig's vocals were done live in Ringo Starr's living room ! Apartf rom teh numerous stories surrounding it , its not a bad album at all. Most of their best songs to that date, a decent production (!) and tight enough ...

Bring back the old days

Advantages: The best Ozzy-Sabbath tracks around

I only ever buy compilation albums to get into a band. After that, I only buy original stuff. WSOSFRAR was my first ever Sabbath album, and it made Black Sabbath my favorite band overnight. When the rain and thunder of Black Sabbath's intro came blasting down my headphones, followed by Tony's heavy guitar, I almost fell off my chair. My parents aren't great rock fans, so I'd never heard anything like this before. I LOVED IT! Ozzy's traditional ...
...music on this album. The compilations features all the band's early classics, such as Paranoid, Black Sabbath, Children of the Grave (my absolute hands-down fave) and Iron Man. All great fans of the good-old Ozzy days would love this album. Listen carefully to the lyrics on the album, and any half-sentient amoeba will realise that there's a message to be taken from them. Many of the songs on the album feature, or are, references to Ozzy's drug addiction. ...
