This is an amazing album from In Flames. It adds a new side to the death metal that i listen to. As a musician it is a delight to listen to. In Flames has altered their sound over the many albums that tehy have released. The music itself in this album has a melodic sound to it that makes it easy to listen to it. The vocals to this album are guttural so if your not a fan of the screaming then this is probably not the ablum for you. However i like this album but i feel that some of the tracks feel like the band is still trying to find the right sound for the band. Advantages: Kirk's Solos back, songs more varied and better than St Anger, a couple of epics.
Disadvantages: Not as good as some over-the-top reviewers have said.

...also a stand-out song on Death Magnetic, in some ways, it's sad to see them take such a move away from the old Unforgivens, however what they have created is outstanding.
