Not Zippy,Bungle and George!!!
Review of Very Best Of Rainbow, The - Rainbow by kittyfluff

Advantages: You get a free rock map..Woohoo!
Disadvantages: Its not the rock you get at the seaside...

...his head is the title,The Very Best Of Rainbow. The inside cover has various pictures of band memebers on stage, and some very posed photographs. In one picture Dio looks like a 17th century Dandy. What a flamboyant imp he is! The best thing is when you fold out the inlay thing,it has a comprehensive list of albums,a giant rock family tree, and a detailed biography of Rainbow. It really is an exeptional inlay. You could base a whole pub quiz around ...
...run naked through Sherwood forest. Very slow and sublime, and nice to listen to without being gooeeeyy. We believe we catch the Rainbow... Starstruck This song was released in 1976 and also sung by Dio.This song is about an obssesed groupie.Hence the title. It is a really fast song, with fast punchy lyrics, and a great riff to it.There really is some great drumming in this too. Dead easy to wail along to. If I were high on a hill She'd be still ... Extreme-ly good
Review of Pornograffiti - Extreme by Lukasz

Advantages: Great guitar, funky
Disadvantages: Very 80's sound

Take yourself back to 1990, where hair was big, guitar solos ruled the music world and CD players were an uncommon phenomenon. It is in this year that we find the second offering from the funk-metal group Extreme. Featuring the guitar talents of Mr. Nuno Bettencourt, this 4 piece band made quite an impact in the early 90's hard rock/guitarist scene (before Nirvana came along and changed everything with the release of 'Nevermind'). If you've never ...
...are either younger than 20 who aren't into guitar-y music), the best way to describe their style would be a cross between funk (hence the subtitle of the album being 'A Funked up Fairytale') and late 80's hard rock. A heavier early-Red Hot Chilli Peppers if you like. That said there are moments of pure lounge jazz, so it's a reasonably varied album. The album was very successful around the time of it's realse, mainly due to the slower singles taken ... Read review

The louder the better!
Review of 40 Seasons (The Best Of Skid Row) - Skid Row by Bayley123

Advantages: Great classic tunes
Disadvantages: The extra live versions weren't needed

Who doesn't love a bit of early '90's hair metal - you just can beat it!! If you love your guitar riffs and heartfelt power ballards, give Skid Row a listen! From the opening classic drumming of Youth Gone Wild, this album is one fantastic song after another. 18 & Life and I Remember You should be up there with the greatest metal ballards of the '90's. This takes songs from their two albums, plus a smattering of extras from over the years, together ... Read review

Nothin' But A Good Time
Review of Greatest Hits 1986-1996 - Poison by lizzy8

Advantages: Great songs, brilliant guitar tunes, fun!
Disadvantages: None

...not usually a fan of greatest hits albums, I do buy them If it's a band I love, but they always seem to get the song choices wrong, don't they? But this time I think they got it right, from the opening track 'Nothin' But A Good Time', you are instantly pulled back to the 80's, with guitar, drums, and simple lyrics that you will find yourself dancing and singing along to, the main aim is to have fun. While you are still on your feet, the next song ...
...guitar tune, another song to shout along to, and do air guitar to the fantastic solo (just don't let anyone see you..... it never looks as good as you think it does). The upbeat feel continues on with 'Unskinny Bop', and then the tempo is brought down with the fantastic power ballad - 'Every Rose Has It's Thorn'. 'Every Rose Has It's Thorn' is the song most people will know and love, even if they are not a fan of Poison. It has everything that makes ... Read review
