H2O Has Nothing to Prove
Advantages: Uplifting, full of fun, vocally excellent, instrumentally striking. Disadvantages: The 5 minute spoken outro is incredibly unnecessary.
...very clear that they have nothing to prove to anyone here, the band has been together since 1995 now and has over the years more than proved its worth as an excellent hardcore punk band. The album consists of 10 tracks and this therefore provides for 29 minutes of music. A number of excellent guest vocalists feature here such as Alkaline Trio's Matt Skiba, Gorilla Biscuits main man Anthony Civarelli, and Agnostic Front's vocalist Roger Miret also ... ...and always the bands music has much to offer throughout this 'Nothing to Prove' album.
When H2O released 'Go' in 2001 a far poppier edge to the music was showcased, the band was signed to major label MCA Records and it really did show through the more commercial nature of the music that the band released. With 'Nothing to Prove' the band has once more returned to what it does best; creating hard hitting hardcore punk music and the sound created ...

Behind Your Eyes
Advantages: A number of excellent tracks, better than the bands previous albums. Disadvantages: Hardcore haters stay well away.
Death Before Dishonor is a five-piece hardcore punk band from Boston, Massachusetts. 'Count Me In' is the bands third studio album to date and was released through Bridge Nine Records, the label that the band has been signed to since 2004. In my opinion this is by far the best album that the band has ever written and most certainly comprises of some of the bands finest material to date. 'Friends, Family, Forever' preceded this album in 2005, 'Count ... ...huge improvement from Death Before Dishonor and an album that has made me think a lot more of the band.
In the past I have never particularly appreciated the music of Death Before Dishonor. On previous releases the album tracks have all sounded the same to me, this is certainly not the case here however. With 'Count Me In' Death Before Dishonor prove to be an excellent hardcore band with this brutal attack of music. The album here has plenty to ...

Rage Against The Machine Album Review
Advantages: Hard, unconventional rock Disadvantages: An acquired taste
Rap-Metal group Rage Against the Machine released their self-titled debut album in 1992, but the music is just as relevant today as it was back then. Songs like 'Take the Power Back' and 'Freedom' are about individual exploitation by the cultural, social, and political systems in society, and how the people must be willing to rise up and overcome such oppression. You may have also recently heard about the small matter of 'Killing in the Name' beating ... ...when you first listen to Rage is that they mean business. The whole album is intended to provide voice to the silent minority: Those individuals that feel neglected and abused are given hope through the band's resonant, unashamed, confrontational expression. Guitarist Tom Morello's anomalous riffs, rhythmic special effects and extended tapping techniques were some of the most powerful sounds to come from a guitar in that era, and remain unchallenged ...

My favourite album
Advantages: Unique and Brilliant consistancey of good tracks Disadvantages: Old fashion looking album design
Normally im into Children of Bodom, Slipknot, BFMV and alot more of the screamo bands. But the Avenged Sevefold have a truly unique style, the vocalist is amazing. I bought this album, and loved it. I think the best on the album is The beast and the harlot. I truly love this band and cannot wait until their next tour. The consistancy of the tracks is also very good with tracks like afterlife, bat country, Blinded in chains, MIA and gunslinger deserving ...
