Essential Item
Advantages: A must-have for true fans Disadvantages: Not much new material
This 5-CD box set was released by the band (and it really does seem to have been approved by the band rather than the usual record company cash-in) as a tribute to Bon Scott. The title is apparently what Bon would have called his solo album, had he ever released one.
In addition to the 5 CDs, there is a glossy 48-page brochure with a brief band history, plenty of quotes from Bon and the boys, previously unseen photographs (as well as a cracker inside ... ...full Highland dress), and reproductions of hand-written lyrics by Mr. Scott. In addition we are treated to a poster, temporary tattoo, sticker, guitar pick and a really cool keyring/bottle opener.
The discs themselves comprise the following: "Back In Black" – remastered in a gatefold sleeve.
"Live From The Atlantic Studios" – yes, the same one I bought on vinyl last year. D'oh! At least the full introduction and closing remarks are included to ...

A great collection
Advantages: Songs not released on albums Disadvantages: None

Gone with the Sin
1. Gone with the Sin (Radio edit)
2. Gone with the Sin (O.D Version)
3. For You (Accoustic Version)
4. Bury me Deep inside Your Heart (Live)
5. Gone with the Sin (Album version)
The highlight of this album is the Radio edit of "Gone with the Sin". I think that it would be the album version but i'v ... ...Embrace (Album version)
This single is called "When Love and Death Embrace" for a reason. I like the song but four versions of it gets a bit too much. The Radio Edit is really good. It's becoming one of my favourites. The AOR-Radio edit is even better again. It is slower and quieter. The thing is they all sound a bit too alike for me.
Wicked Game
1. Wicked Game
2. For You
3. Our Diabolical Rapture
4. Wicked Game (666-Remix)

adios
Advantages: Classic Disadvantages: Marketed as a best of - what?
...if a fitting end to Muchas Gracias, and indeed to Kyuss' album career; they dissipated into bands such as Queens Of The Stone Age, Slo Burn, Unida, Hermano, Mondo Generator, Fu Manchu and many others. There were rumblings about the band reforming a while back, when Josh, Nick and Brant were together, but John Garcia seems to be the uncooperative party (I've read he is hard to work with). In the end it was a necceseary tragedy that Kyuss broke up; ...

Good Karma & Bad Karma
Advantages: some excellent tracks, great music Disadvantages: bad track lineup, last track too long
When thinking about which Kamelot CD I prefer, it is always a toss-up between "Karma" or "The Fourth Legacy." Now that I have reviewed both, it seems obvious which has the most flaws. Sadly, it is this one, "Karma." While oustanding in many ways, it does trip up in a couple of ways that I shall mention later.
Like it's predecessor, the CD begins with a warm-up musical score, "Regalis Apertura" which slowly builds up in to the thundering "Forever," ... ...Kamelot's greatest tracks. Likewise, the next track on the album, "Wings of Despair" stands next to it as one of their greatest. You'll no doubt find yourself skipping back to track 2 and replaying those two again.
It, then, tends to go down hill. Their next track, "The Spell," is an attempt at something different, and perhaps, overall, that's what this entire album is, a change of direction for Kamelot, and not necessarily a good one. If their ...

Not your average Metal band - buy this now
Advantages: Dark, alluring, Intricate, varied. Disadvantages: 7 song album,
...excellent in there own ways Orchid is by far the best.
I would advise anyone not familar with this band but into any form of metal including death metal, that they should by this album first!! They are a very unique band and hard to put into a genre or sub genre as the amazing eclectic playing shows influences from blues, Jazz and Psychedelic rock from the 70's.
Although only having 7 songs, 5 of them are around 10 or more minutes long. Despite ... ...in fact they are often intricate mixture of distorted, clean and acoustic sounding guitars that they have managed to perfectly run into one another without sounding the least bit forced or out of place.
I have spent a lot of time reviewing this finding it increasing hard to describe all i can say it is a stunning album that i will never forget. ...
