The vocals come in clear and like most Amon amarth albums, you can mostly fully understand the lyrical content, which is another thing I like about this band, as their lyrical content is pretty cool and trys to give you an insight of the mind of the viking and how they lived day to ... ...growling and the lyrical content tends to be on the satanic, sadomasichistic, perverted and shocking for the sake of shocking, not that there is anything wrong with that, but it can get stale and it is refreshing to have bands like Amon Amarth (Nile also sing about Egyptian mythology). Back to song, great intro, great title song and worthy of having the album named after this track.
2. Free will sacrifice (4.09) A slower but nonetheless heavy song ...

Buy this CD! It is my favourite Andy Timmons album! The first song "Super 70's" straight away shows Andy's unique style with amazing guitar riffs and even better solos! "Beautiful Strange" is also a very good song involving some quick shifts and mixed rhythm and lead parts from the one guitar! Electric Gypsy is a clam and cool instrumental track with great melodies with a little of the rock quality throughout the song. Carpe Diem shows Andy's influences ...

Normally im into Children of Bodom, Slipknot, BFMV and alot more of the screamo bands. But the Avenged Sevefold have a truly unique style, the vocalist is amazing. I bought this album, and loved it. I think the best on the album is The beast and the harlot. I truly love this band and cannot wait until their next tour. The consistancy of the tracks is also very good with tracks like afterlife, bat country, Blinded in chains, MIA and gunslinger deserving ...
