Anthology - Obituary is a good selection for a best of.

Advantages: Great Sample of the band
Disadvantages: Nothing new for existing fans

Best of albums are always a difficult breed of CD to review because if your a fan of the band, you already have much of the material and therefore don't feel the excitement of hearing it for the first time. There are a few bonus rarities to be found on here and a remix which in my opinion, is a complete waste of time and effort as it sounds like nothing more than set of random dance drums. ...If your new to this band its a very good selection to start off on, covering most parts of the bands history quite well, so this serves as a good primer for people new to both this band and death metal as a whole. “Don't Care” and “Buried Alive” are my two favorite tracks by far, and really show the band for there writing skill. Nothing more than a classic

...the excellent and classic album Ace Of Spades. One of the things that will strike you about Motorhead is obviously Lemmy's voice, they just wouldn't be Motorhead without the eccentric frotmans vocals. He uses that signature gravely voice to his best on this CD. All tracks are good in my view and most metal fans would probably agree. The adverts are most renouned for their first part of their career; the "crossing the red sea with the adverts" era.
