Yet another great album
Review of Worm Infested [Digipak] [PA] - Cannibal Corpse by RedTape

Advantages: Everything
Disadvantages: none

I do not own this product, but what more do I have to say to anyone who wishes to buy this product than IT'S CANNIBAL CORPSE!!! Hence, metal head with half a brain who has happened to listen to Cannibal Corpse a few times must know that this album should be one of the sickest most brutal albums you have ever heard. This is not for the squeamish, people, and this album is most certainly not for Dave Matthews Band lovers and anyone who loves anything ... Read review

Brutal! (In a good way)
Review of Live Cannibalism - Cannibal Corpse by Smitty83

Advantages: Great sound, amazing talent!
Disadvantages: In my personal opinion, none!

...Cannibalism" is an amazingly powerful live album, by the gods of death metal themselves, and you get just what you'd expect; a truely brutal performance, insanely accurate technical guitar playing and blast beats on drums, and George Fisher's unique low growl. For a live performance, the quality is good as well, no unwanted sound distortion, just the right level of audio mix between the band and the crowds noise, and everything cuts through cleanly ...
...death metal, this is definately a must have. Not only do you get a selection of some of the bands best songs, from "Staring Through The Eyes Of The Dead" to "Hammer Smashed Face", but you get to see just how talented these guys are live. Highlights of the album? "I Cum Blood" and "Fucked With A Knife" are really something on this, but really, if you're a fan of Cannibal Corpse then the whole album is a highlight! ... Read review

one of the best
Review of Wretched Spawn - Cannibal Corpse by darkrider666

Advantages: briliant tracks and lyrics
Disadvantages: may freak some people out

Formed in 1988, Buffalo born/Tampa raised Cannibal Corpse helped found, manipulate and transcend the very boundaries of death metal beginning with the scandalously controversial debut, Eaten Back To Life. Raising the eyebrows of inquisitive metal-heads and incensed parents and politicians, the record - produced by Scott Burns at the now renowned Morrisound Studios - was more extreme and confrontational than anything the metal genre had ever known. ...
...cover art, grisly lyrics and song titles like "Hammer Smashed Face," "Meat Hook Sodomy" and "Addicted To Vaginal Skin," follow-up records Butchered At Birth (1991) and Tomb Of The Mutilated (1992) were met with further contempt by the likes of such organized censorship leagues as the PMRC. In just three years, the sale of Cannibal Corpse merchandise was (temporarily) prohibited in Australia, Korea and New Zealand (in fact, the sale of Butchered ... Read review

THE GODS CONTINUE TO BE GODS
Review of Vile - Cannibal Corpse by PaulTangaroa

Advantages: Hear some of the best riffs death metal has been given.
Disadvantages: Erm. None that I've found yet

I've been a fan of Cannibal Corpse since they first started, and to be honest didn't think that new vocalist Corpsegrinder could have filled the shoes of Chris Barnes, who went off to start the pretty average Six Feet Under, BUT!!!! the first few seconds of this CD proves that Corpsegrinder is by far the stronger vocalist. "Devoured by Vermin" hammers this CD off to one of the most brutal starts ever heard. The rest of the album remains pounding ... Read review

I wish it had more staying power
Review of Bleeding - Cannibal Corpse by President-X-D

Advantages: Stellar musicianship, good songwriting
Disadvantages: Lyrics are trite. Album has very short shelf life.

I had this cassette years ago, yet I lost it for a few years and didn't buy the CD until recently. Hearing it again, it's still musically superior to most death metal, but Barnes's vocals got on my nerves. The experimenting the band does on this album is a vast improvement over previous albums. The vocal experimenting falls flat though... the higher pitched rasping bits sound forced, although it IS commendable that Barnes tried something new here. ...
...musicianship for about 75% of "The Bleeding", but some tracks sound like mush and gets a bit annoying before it's over. There is some mighty fine guitar playing on display here, and the bass is jaw-dropping perfection. I didn't know Cannibal Corpse had this much talent before "The Bleeding" came out; previous stuff is super-brutal yet does little to impress the listener with the band's musical talent. Lyrics are silly but they never claimed to be ... Read review
