The genre of Withering Surface is a mix between Metallica, Iron Maiden, Children of Bodom and Fear Factory, which blends to make this truely unique band another masterpiece. ...the beautiful blend between their melodic and metal sides. Whilst songs such as Seperation and Sundive giving the more burtal edge of music, which isnt pulled off tremendously well, but has enough energy and catchy riffs to make any metal fan interested in this album. The rest of the songs such as Suite 304, Night of Shame and The Everflow, seem more or less a filler of the album and do appear to be disappointing, but are nonetheless above any metal ...

Hidden Gem

Advantages: Intelligent, beautiful, unique

As you may see from my other reviews, I'm reviewing a lot of bands that people haven't heard of. Because of this it can be hard for me to review without comparing them to other well known bands. Advantages: An unusual combination of heavy metal mixed with mellower interludes.
Disadvantages: Poor album art/information and for die-hard heavy metal fans only!
