It's been 13 years since Europe released their last album "Prisoners in Paradise" and 17 years since "Final Countdown" was released and their guitarist John Norum left the band. Now in 2004 Norum is also back in the band. So will we get a new "Final Countdown"?
In the beginning of this year Sony released an Europe collection that topped the charts all over the world. This was possible through great promotion, at least in the finnish and swedish ... ...I never heard or saw any promotion for this new album. Is this album really this bad or what? Unofortunately they signed up a small german label called Noiserecords which has signed up a lot of very talented groups and musicans, but their artists never get the chance to top the charts due the lack of promotion. Advantages: Decent metal tunes and there are 32 tracks which isn't bad for the price. Disadvantages: Quality of some of the live tracks/B-sides
It's an awful burden for bands when they have a hit that gets played just as much as "The Final Countdown" did as it often seems to override any of their other musical accomplishments. This release is an impressive collection of Europe's best tracks as well as live tracks, B-sides and demos and should go to some lengths to prove that they are not a one song band!
In fact on this double disc, 32 track offering it isn't until the second CD that their ... ...us forget about it? Other big hits that the band had including "Rock the Night" "Carrie"and "Superstituous" are here in all of their glory, as well as previously unreleased material such as the acoustic version of "I'll Cry For You" which works very well and "Here Comes the Night" which was a highly sought after session song until this compilation was put together. It should be noted that there are several other Europe Greatest Hits albums available- ...

All Or Nothing starts things off with a schwing! "ll Or Nothing" is a laid back kick it up hard rock song like a meat and two veg dinner with all the trimmings. This track is similar to many tracks by artists such as Skid Row and Poison. I would say ... ...say goodbye?
