Whitesnakes 30th Anniversary Collection appears to be a glorified greatest hit album. However it's more than this. Its 52 tracks contain live tracks, the original version of Here I Go Again, songs from David Coverdale's (DC's) album with Jimmy Page of Led Zeppelin and of course songs from DC's solo work. The second CD contains the Coverdale Page songs as well as more live songs and a collection of Whitesnake hits. The third CD contains the song Best Years from Whitesnakes latest album and We Wish You Well the song Whitesnake wrote for their audiences but have never preformed live. The songs are very original and truly unique. Overall these three discs are excellent and anyone who likes Whitesnake ...

After the success of "Lights Out" UFO once again packed their brand new album with another heavy dose of good old hard rock, keyboards and catchy tunes which influenced the likes of Iron Maiden, Megadeth and Metallica to name but a few. This was to be ... ...the big hit UFO would have liked, Obsession has, over time, matured to become one of the classic albums of the hard rock driven 70s (and 80s!). Advantages: Great songs, great riffs, great vocals Disadvantages: A few average tracks
This greatest hits collection shows what a versatile, original and underrated band Queensryche are. Opening with the heavy Queen of the Reich, followed by the melodic The Lady Wore Black, you know straght away that Queensryche are capable of more than just standard heavy metal riffing. Jet City Woman has an incredible bass introduction, fantastic vocals and an anthemic chorus, putting Queensryche above most other bands for power, while also showing ... ...evident on bonus track Someone Else which has some haunting saxophone lines, again elevating Queensryche above the competition. A final mention must go to the incredible vocals of Geoff Tate, who stands alongside Rob Halford of Judas Priest as one of the best rock/metal singers around. Of course, not every track is a classic, but it's definitely worth a listen, because there are some truly great songs on this compilation- songs with a level of originality ...
