If you ever have frequented this website, you'll realize that without doubt, Armor For Sleep has and will always be one of my favorite bands. I've loved them since I first stumbled across the "Dream To Make-Believe" demos years ago, and have followed them intently ever since, seeing them several times over the years. ..."good acquaintance" at worst, and a "random friend" at best, and seeing as how I've absolutely been enthralled with everything they've released (aside from one track, something having to do with the ground, hint-hint). This albums lyrics are not as heartfelt as Jane Doe or poetic as You Fail me, but the lyrics arent really that important anyway, but if you get a chance to read them they are amazing and if i had to choose a favourite poet, Jacob Bannon would be it. ...

The Fall Of Troys first album is one which gets better with age. The more you listen to the incredible guitar rifts the more you start to actually hear what the hell he's playing. Once you reach this point, you start loving this band. I'd normally plan my reveiws with the best song, the worst song, and then overall did i like it. However with this album i need about 3 best songs. Rockstar Nailbomb is only 2:03 but it is deffinately one of my favorite, ...
...this, or on any of Fall Of Troys later albums. In my personal opinion i think it starts to go a little mainstream as the song pans out, but the first 30 seconds are just mindboggoling! The Last March of the Ents is one of my favorite guitar rifts on the album. What most bands struggle to play as solos this guy plays all the way through. Jane Doe honestly makes me want to rip someone apart sometimes, tracks like concubine, and home wrecker are crushing, focused high tempo pieces of musical genius, whilst distance and meaning builds on this with a variety of tempo changes as well as other minor but noticeable touches such as use of guitar feedback in the chorus, and clean vocals which are rare on this album. Manipulator

Advantages: Sshh If you're quiet i'll show you a dinosaur, can actually hear the vocals!
Disadvantages: No as great as the first two albums

The Fall of Troys 3rd studio album keeps much within the reputation that the band have set themselves of fast rifts, slightly insane vocals and what feels like a constant guitar solo. The main change in this album is that for once you actually can understand the lyrics! Incredible. They do retain the crazy solos that just kicked you in the bollocks with their awesomeness in the first album, but as with my favorite song, the more organised power that ...
...If you're quite i'll show you a dinosaur has to be my personal favorite. Its about 2:40 in length but its got a great hook in the chorus. Closely followed by Cut down all the trees and name the streets after them. This song is 2:37 so doesnt quite have as good a build to it as say Whacko Jacko Steals The Elephant Mans Bones from the previosu album, but its still good.
