This is probably one of my favorite albums of all time, so I'll try to avoid bias as much as possible here. The opener, 'My Temple' starts out with a furious drum sequences, then a catchy riff pattern with singing, and finally a chorus. Later, back come the drums, and another chorus. Advantages: Hard, unconventional rock

Normally im into Children of Bodom, Slipknot, BFMV and alot more of the screamo bands. But the Avenged Sevefold have a truly unique style, the vocalist is amazing. I bought this album, and loved it. Advantages: Original, Interesting
Disadvantages: Some song can seem a little similar

This was back before the lead singer Dave Williams died, and they have gone downhill since. This album is very raw and heavy, but was unlike other bands at the same time.
