Hybrid Theory... Nu Metal Heaven
Review of Hybrid Theory - Linkin Park by
jedsaint
Advantages: Fantastic!
Disadvantages: None spring to mind
Linkin Park's debut album, littered with crunching riffs and memorable lyrics commands the listener to mosh along. There are no other options! There are few words capable of describing this Nu Metallic work of art other than astounding. The other words within my vocabulary that could do the job are unsuitable for minors.
'Hybrid Theory' is such a great album, especially when reflected on today. It was the foundation of a great band's success and ...

Linkin Park's Return Amazes All
Review of Meteora [ECD] - Linkin Park by
jedsaint
Advantages: Amazing
Disadvantages: Makes A Linkin Park obsession inevitable
Linkin Park's second album (not including the remix album, Reanimation) is greatly reminiscent to the first (Hybrid Theory). In fact, scratch that 'greatly reminiscent to the first', Great will do. The vocals of Chester Bennington and scratch-scratch mixing command a certain respect from all Metal fans, and I will seize the opportunity to say that this is a safe bet if you are looking for a genuine, fresh metal album.
Although the style of 'Hybrid ... ...fresh ideas and originality prevent it from becoming too repetitive. It makes it great, in fact.
If you are a fan of Linkin Park, or, indeed, any Nu Metal bands, I can guarantee you will love this.
It is Linkin Park, after all. You can't really put a foot wrong... ...

The results look good for the bizkit
Review of Results May Vary [PA] - Limp Bizkit by
lilro
Advantages: Good combo of heavy rock and mellow music.
Disadvantages: not much wrong quite a good album
Limp Bizkit returned to the Rock scene September 2003 with there latest offering “Results May Vary”. This was the first album back after the love thing between Britney and Fred. People expected it to show his feelings for her and in particular women. This was Limp Bizkit’s first album with out the well know guitarist Wes Borlan (The guy who wore paint!). New guitarist Mike shows his skills on tracks like Underneath The Gun, and Let It Go.
The cover ... ...on the front. Inside the disc is like the top of medicine bottle. Then when you lift up the CD its looks like the inside of a bottle and it has capsules with the limp bizkit logo on them. A clever play on the title of the album. Track Listings
1.Re-Entry (Intro with All Around The World) – Very good intro for an intro.
2. Eat You Alive – one of the best songs on the album. Very heavy song the kind of song that needs to be played loud. One of the ...

New Old Songs
Review of New Old Songs (Remixes) [PA] - Limp Bizkit by
mightyred
Advantages: New twist on the Bizkit
Disadvantages: see review
If you're a LB fan, then you'll you know that they are the kings of Nu Metal - although many will quibble over what style of music they are.
They burst onto the scene with counterfeit and for those with sharp ears - you'll know that they provided the theme for the Mission Impossible movie (think it was the first film - but happy to be corrected).
After hits such as Rollin' and Generation X they spent 2000 - 2003 in the limelight, becoming mainstream. ... ...in concert in Manchester way back in 2000. This is a remix of their well known songs with the likes of Bubba Sparks and P.Diddy (or whatever he's called now) and also the Neptunes and Xzibit. They steer away from the metal side of their music and head off towards hip-hop - although this is not a bad thing. I'm not a particularly big hip-hop fan and the album doesn't offend me - in fact it makes the Bizkit alot easier to listen to. I manage to drive ...

Linkin Park - Minutes to Midnight
Review of Minutes To Midnight (Parental Advisory) [PA] - Linkin Park by
GerlofL
Advantages: The title of the album rocks, This terrible sellout lasts 'only' 43 minutes.
Disadvantages: It lasts !!43!! Minutes, every song is horrible, theire new logo sucks too.
...the ?Ballad? They made is truely to get sick of. He has the voice of a screamer, so he should not sing something deep on a slow pace, it is disgusting to hear.
-
'Linkin Park - Minutes to Midnight' is officially the biggest sell out and dissapointment of 2007. ...
