the ozzman cometh
Advantages: a bit of everything Disadvantages: never say die left off the album
If your a fan of the prince of darkness himself then this is an album any metal fan out there should not be without. An album of sheer quality all the way through and one that propels this amazing man in my view to the top of the metal tree.i have been a fan of various heavy metal since i was a lad and i own hundreds of albums of this genre among many more of other genres.i still often find myself putting this album on and playing it loud because ... ...songs of pure magic by ozzy as a solo artist and with black sabbath make a a great mix of dark satantic to a surprising mellow ozzy.
the old favourites are all there with the likes of black sabbath, crazy train,mr crowley, bark at the moon, war pigs and the brilliant live version of paranoid with randy rhoads on lead guitar.you also get the other side of ozzy with songs like goodbye to romance and i just want you showing the versitility of the man.this ...

Far from perfect
Advantages: Excellent solos from Rhoads and some catchy tracks Disadvantages: Theme a bit repetitive
Diary of a Madman was Ozzy Osbourne's 2nd album after his sacking from Black Sabbath and subsequent re-birth through Sharon Osbourne. The album was originally released in 1981 and as much as I enjoyed his comeback album Blizzard of Oz, this one just wasn't quite on par. The guitar solos by Randy Rhodes are superb and prove just what an acquisition he had been to the band a year earlier.
Ozzy's trademark voice is as good as ever but tends to be a ... ...is definitely worth listening to merely for the red hot guitar solos and the few tracks which work out perfectly.

Losing My Sanity, Again
Advantages: The final performances of Randy Rhoads. Disadvantages: Inferior and not-very-long-awaited follow-up to 'Blizzard of Ozz.'
...6. Tonight
7. S.A.T.O.
8. Diary of a Madman
Only serving to further prove the desperate stretching of ideas, the first two songs not only deal with madness, or more specifically an alternative and criticised point of view, but are also, and this is the regrettable but admittedly ironic part, about flying. Planes have been a consistent subject in heavy metal, from Iron Maiden's appreciation of the Spitfire experience to Queensr˙che, and more recently ... ...melodic guitar riff from Rhoads, before Ozzy's legendary voice (not for all the right reasons) harks back to the glory days of several months earlier, with the previous album. Deserving special attention is Bob Daisley's bass guitar, wrongly credited to Rudy Sarzo in the booklet, which makes its presence felt on both of these early albums more prominently than many similar bands would attempt, especially in the slower, and more blues-based songs ...

Rage Against The Machine Album Review
Advantages: Hard, unconventional rock Disadvantages: An acquired taste
Rap-Metal group Rage Against the Machine released their self-titled debut album in 1992, but the music is just as relevant today as it was back then. Songs like 'Take the Power Back' and 'Freedom' are about individual exploitation by the cultural, social, and political systems in society, and how the people must be willing to rise up and overcome such oppression. You may have also recently heard about the small matter of 'Killing in the Name' beating ... ...when you first listen to Rage is that they mean business. The whole album is intended to provide voice to the silent minority: Those individuals that feel neglected and abused are given hope through the band's resonant, unashamed, confrontational expression. Guitarist Tom Morello's anomalous riffs, rhythmic special effects and extended tapping techniques were some of the most powerful sounds to come from a guitar in that era, and remain unchallenged ...
