THE RISE

Advantages: The first of a two part album
Disadvantages: You have to buy two separate albums

...is very unusual. The Neon God Part 1 subtitled The Rise (the second installment subtitled The Demise) is a 14 track cd that tells the story of a young orphan (Jesse Slane) who has been abused by the nuns that run the orphanage he is incarcerated in. Each of the 14 tracks charts a part of the story as the young orphan tries to come to terms with his own existence, the abuse he is suffering, the hypocrisy of religion, the discovery of the power of ...
...will worship him as the Neon God. Each Track is loaded with classic W.A.S.P riffs that meld seamlessly with front man Blackie Lawless unique and unforgettable vocals, creating modern symphony that carry's on from track to track. The tracks get better and better as they progress through the album culminating with The Raging Storm which will bring you out in goose bumps. Although there are 14 tracks four of them (2. why am I here, 5. why am I nothing, ...

Feel the 'force of British metal!

Advantages: Catchy as hell
Disadvantages: Not their best production quality

This is a high-octane blast onto the music scene by one of the most promising metal bands to emerge from Britain for years. Already an underground sensation among power metal fans, it features all the songs featured on their internet-downloadable demo (then called 'Dragonheart') plus a few more strong additions. To dub this band simply 'power metal' however would be an injustice. The band's sound features qualities of death/black metal (listen to ...
...Herman Lee's previous project 'Demoniac' (check them out!). If you're a guitarist, and you're into shred and fancy fretwork, you'll love this. Some of Herman's solo's are mind-boggling in speed and accuracy, not to overlook Sam's often underrated complimentary more melodic approach, with lots of tapping and unusual sounds, reminiscent of old 8-bit video games. My favourite album

Advantages: Unique and Brilliant consistancey of good tracks
Disadvantages: Old fashion looking album design

Normally im into Children of Bodom, Slipknot, BFMV and alot more of the screamo bands. But the Avenged Sevefold have a truly unique style, the vocalist is amazing. I bought this album, and loved it. I think the best on the album is The beast and the harlot. I truly love this band and cannot wait until their next tour. The consistancy of the tracks is also very good with tracks like afterlife, bat country, Blinded in chains, MIA and gunslinger deserving ...
