A strong blizzard is in town
Advantages: Quite different and much better than the previous few Black Sabbath albums with Ozzy Disadvantages: None
Blizzard of Ozz was Ozzy Osbourne's first album following his split from Black Sabbath. Following being sacked from Black Sabbath, Ozzy was in a mess, living in a hotel and trying to drink and snort himself in to oblivion - Sharon Osbourne who would eventually become his wife, decided to get him back on track and from the brink of destruction, the depressive Ozzy got his stuff together and recorded this rather enjoyable album.
A great helping hand ... ...the guitar playing of the band. The only thing that this album really has in common with his earlier work of Black Sabbath is Ozzy's voice, although it does tend to stay in the top rangeof his voice for much of it. The themes are quite different with a lot less of a satanic outlook and a more moody sound, the music is gentle and melodic interspersed with amazing guitar solos.
The album has over the years caused quite a bit of controversy with several ...

Ozzy mania
Advantages: Ozzy at his lyrical best, teamed up with Wylde. Nostalgic! Disadvantages: Very few. Still, doesnt beat his previous work.
...back then. Although Black Rain doesn't have a very original name, (considering that there's two novels, a Japanese movie, an American movie, a German music label and a Dark Lotus music album with the same title) the sounds are still absolutely original. From Ozzy's lyrical inspiration to Zakk Wylde's insane guitar, which is deeper and sounds more like sludge metal than recent releases, this album certainly deserves a listen!

"I Don't Wanna Stop" :In this second track Ozzy continues to rule as always, and wails, "All my life I've been over the top. I don't know what I'm doing all I know is, I don't wanna stop. All fired up, I'm gonna go till I drop. You're either in ...

the ozzman cometh
Advantages: a bit of everything Disadvantages: never say die left off the album
If your a fan of the prince of darkness himself then this is an album any metal fan out there should not be without. An album of sheer quality all the way through and one that propels this amazing man in my view to the top of the metal tree.i have been a fan of various heavy metal since i was a lad and i own hundreds of albums of this genre among many more of other genres.i still often find myself putting this album on and playing it loud because ... ...songs of pure magic by ozzy as a solo artist and with black sabbath make a a great mix of dark satantic to a surprising mellow ozzy.
the old favourites are all there with the likes of black sabbath, crazy train,mr crowley, bark at the moon, war pigs and the brilliant live version of paranoid with randy rhoads on lead guitar.you also get the other side of ozzy with songs like goodbye to romance and i just want you showing the versitility of the man.this ...

old times good times
Advantages: great guitar performers (Holmes, Wilde, Rhoads) Disadvantages: some of the songs to long and sterile
...are good, and quite frankly Ozzmosis is about as satisfactory as I expected at this stage of his long career. “Old L.A. Tonight” (that’s Rick Wakeman on piano!) provides a pleasingly low-key closer with guitarist Jake Holmes (a former student of Rhoads) in place of Wilde, who had become preoccupied with his own projects...But anyway folks if you can not decide whether purchase this album or not go to store or visit your friend who owns this piece ...

Not Exactly Down To Earth
Advantages: An album full of heavy rock tracks. Disadvantages: Not for you if you just like "The osbournes" and not the music...
...release of this album, however DOWN TO EARTH finally arrived. Whereas OZZMOSIS may have harkened back to Ozzy's early days of Black Sabbath, EARTH is unmistakably solo Ozzy. The album is anchored by the fantastic rhythm section of Robert Trujillo and Mike Bordin, the playing on EARTH is exceptionally tight. Tim Palmer's production steers Osbourne in a melodic direction, as the album's use of strings, synth, and background vocals complements some ... ...reprises his role as the lad guitarist.
GETS ME THROUGH:
This is often tagged as "the radio friendly 1st single" from the album. The song begins with a nice piano intro and leads you to believe that it will be a piano driven ballad - until about half a minute in to the song. At this point the drums kick in, the bass "switches" on and the guitars let out their main riff, which is rather slow and heavy and repetitive (albeit in a positive way). "I'm ...
