Overkill-Motorhead

Advantages: Rocky,thrashy,energetic,b est of all their albums ever!Each song rocks more than the last!
Disadvantages: None really, unless you dont like the genre of music.

So who hasn't got a fitted Topshop/Topman style Motorhead Tee nowadays? Hardly rock n roll to is it? I wonder how many of those guys actually listen to Motorhead? I doubt many which is a real shame because albums like this (Overkill) are a real jem amongst the crap rock that wont stand the test of time. The band are made up of Lemmy (bass and vocals), "Fast" Eddie Clarke (guitar), and "Philthy Animal" Taylor (drums) . This is Motörhead's second album ...
...chnage paid off because fans consider this to be their best album (and they have had tons)-superceding the Ace of Spaces! Vocals on this album are gruff and heavy and you really can pick Lemmy's voice out from millions of others. Shame that people only seem to know The Ace Of Spades as this band have produced so many other great songs. In sound the album is fierce and wild (as a rock album should be) and it does show off the bands thrashy style beautifully. ...

Review of Overkill - Motorhead

Obsession; it certainly is!

Advantages: Good, good and good
Disadvantages: It ends.

Produced back in 1978, Obsession was recorded after their panicle studio album "Lights Out" and whilst not a big hit like its predecessor, Obsession remains a classic album from the UFO discography. After the success of "Lights Out" UFO once again packed their brand new album with another heavy dose of good old hard rock, keyboards and catchy tunes which influenced the likes of Iron Maiden, Megadeth and Metallica to name but a few. Review of Obsession - UFO

Not your average Metal band - buy this now

Advantages: Dark, alluring, Intricate, varied.
Disadvantages: 7 song album,

...excellent in there own ways Orchid is by far the best. I would advise anyone not familar with this band but into any form of metal including death metal, that they should by this album first!! They are a very unique band and hard to put into a genre or sub genre as the amazing eclectic playing shows influences from blues, Jazz and Psychedelic rock from the 70's. Over The Hills and Fly Away

Advantages: Good Sound and new male vocals
Disadvantages: More than half of songs are old songs

Firstly when I bought this album, my friend told that it is an EP album. Although this album is an EP, but it contains 10 awesome songs. 1 cover song, 1 new song, 1 old song, 1 remake song and 6 songs taken from their concert. Opening with Gary Moore song "Over the Hills and Far Away" and continue with "Tenth Man Down", listener has to have a middle age battle feeling. It then cool down with "Away". At 4th track, they remake "Astral Romance" ...
...in this song. 5th to 10th were taken from concert in Tampere on 29.12.2000 : The Kinslayer She Is My Sin Sacrament Of Wilderness Walking In The Air Wishmaster Deep Silent Complete Male voices appeared in this EP are Wilska, Tony Kakko (Sonata Arctica) and Tuomas Holopainen himself. Overall, this EP is more like full album, I recommend for Nightwish fans (of course), metal lovers. ...

Another great from Opeth.

Advantages: Bonus Track
Disadvantages: Includes their less known songs

This is one of many awesome albums produced by Opeth. There are 7 tracks and a Bonus. 1 In the midst she was standing. 2 Under the weeping moon 3 Silhouette 4 Forest of October 5 The twilight is my robe 6 Requiem 8 The apostle in triumph Bonus 9 Into the frost of winter The quality of the bonus track is not as refined as the rest of the album, they must have produced this a long time ago.
