Stranger in Us All.

Advantages: Superb incorporation of classical scales into Rock, great riffs and leads.
Disadvantages: Rainbow's last album

Ritchie Blackmore, (creator of one of the most famous rock riffs - Smoke on the Water) after shuttling between Deep Purple (1965 - 1974, 1984 - 1994) and Rainbow (1975-1984,1994-1997) came up with this brilliant Album during his second stint with Rainbow, featuring vocalist Doogie White of Scottish Origin. Blackmore uses a scalloped fretboard with wood shaved of b/w frets meaning that he plays with a light touch, resulting in a furious pace. This ...
...opener Wolf to the Moon which starts of with a signature fast paced Blackmore Riff. Doogie White, proves that his recruitment by Blackmore into the band is no stroke of luck. The entire album has ritchie blackmore's classical influence portrayed in great style with some neat riffs. With the album of to a great start with the fast paced Wolf to the Moon, (which would also be a great concert opener), the next song Cold Hearted Woman marks the beginning ...

linkin park were once called hybrid theory

Advantages: great music performed live by a great band
Disadvantages: it doesnt show them 100% at their best

...the CD(12 audio live tracks) comes with DVD (17 performance tracks), case, and booklet (10 pages). DVD DIRECTOR: Kimo Proudfoot DVD PRODUCER: Matt Calabiano ALBUM PRODUCER: Josh Abraham Great an up close look at a band who is passionate about their music. The DVD has some off-stage sound bites and lots of on-stage action shots. The bands seems to have the big tough Metallica fans prancing happily in the Mosh Pit throughout the show which ya gotta ...
...time to notice the text and art on the actual CDs themselves - - which is reallly cool. 1. Don't Stay great slow motion footage during the intro. the crowd is immediately into the show. 2. Somewhere I Belong the band showcases their strong vocal talent here. The mix between DJ, guitar, bass, vocals is amazing. 3. Lying From You not mixed very well which is Too bad cos its a really Good song. 4. Papercut vocals get lost in the music here, again. ...

This is how it should be

Advantages: A good collection of Thunder tracks
Disadvantages: sound compromised compared to studio tracks

This album is everything that LIVE classic rock should be. Thunders frontman/singer Danny Bowes delivers a stonking performance unrivalled by today teenie rockers.Ther rest of the band are: Gary "Harry" Janes - Drums, Luke Morley - Guitar/Harmonica, Ben Matthews - Guitar/keyboards, and Chris Childs - Bass. Thunder was formed from the ashes of another great band - Terraplane - in 1989. The band are from London and surrounding districts. Having ...
...a good representation of a live Thunder gig, the atmosphere translates well to the CD and it is the next best thing to being there. This is a double CD, with 22 live tracks. The tracklist includes well-known favourites, from the Back Street Symphony era, such as "Dirty Love" and "She's so fine", through the powerful "Does it feel like love?" and the haunting "Low life in high places" to the scorching "Gimme some lovin'". The general feel of this ...

Tight Denim And Fuzzy Long Perms

Advantages: A coming of age album, perfectly polished
Disadvantages: Probably not to be topped again by the band

...when after the gentleness of Hysteria and a soft cuddle with your new fella. It'll either having you reach for the volume knob to turn it up or turn it down. I liked it, simply because it was fun, after such a serious track. It tells you to 'stand up' We're back almost into bop mode again. The last track 'Love and Affection' could have been another 'Hysteria' but it seems to lack something, I think because it sounds so similar. It bares the mark ...
...spoils it. Its again gentle and reflective. It doesn't have the same broodiness of 'Hysteria'. It would have felt better on a follow up album. It's still a good piece to finish an album but not a rock album. They were essentially a commercial rock band unlike others, they had chosen to conform, whether it was to make money or get popular fast. One feels that previous albums, 'On through the night' and 'Pyromania' seemed to be true Def Leppard. One ...

The forgotten album

Advantages: Truely awesome lyrics and music
Disadvantages: Couldn't name one.

This is possibly my favourite Def Leppard album of all time. It is definately one of the most forgotten albums, only remembered for 'Let's Get Rocked' but it really contains more than that. This was the album compiled just after Steve Clarks death and really had sentimental vaulue to the band. Steve was one of the main contributors to the songs on the album and the album was put out in memory of his creative genius. The inlay of the album has a few ...
...most vulnerable time, looking back on all the times when they should have seen the destruction going on behind the mans eyes. But it was definately never easy. My heart goes out to the band, for coping so well with such a terrible happening. Def Leppard have really had the worst things thrown at them, but always turned them into a life experience, and helped it make them stronger. Anyway, back to the songs! Obviously, the album would start with ...
