F**k You I Won't Do What You Tell Me
Advantages: Lots of bangers Disadvantages: A couple of tunes are slightly weaker than the rest
Rage Against The Machine brought their eponymous debut in 1992. It finds the Metal band, who are heavily rooted in the Funk and Rap-based material coming to bring their alternative material and bringing about rather significant changes as they took on from what only a few others had previously done to make for their alternative Metal work. It features the typical rapped vocals from their lead vocalist, who comes out with rhymes about inequalities within society that make for a killer of a joint to get ...

... ...much like any live album, I would say to people, dont buy it untill youve heard the studio stuff, its not worth finding out about the songs for a live album, when you listen to a studio CD your listening to songs, when you listen to a live album, your hearing the band, in live, raw, gutfelt emotion. To buy this album with out hearing RATM would be stupid, but for fans, this CD captures Rage in their finest, sell out moment, with a belt full of hits ...

Confrontational Hardcore at it's Best
Advantages: Heavier than their other albums, if you like that sort of thing Disadvantages: Heavier than their other albums, if you don't like that sort of thing
1996 saw the long awaited release of Rage Against the Machine's second album 'Evil Empire', a much darker and heavier album than their self titled debut. In league with their political stand point the title is in reference to the name given to the former Soviet Union by Ronald Regan and other conservatives. Although the album was produced 12 years ago it is interesting to note the same political concerns are still prevelant. Featuring less innovation ... ...the vocals. The line up remained the same with legendary guitarist Tom Morello, vocals by Zach de la Rocha, drummer Brad Wilk and Tim Commerford on bass. The album was produced by the band themselves.

The album opens on a great introduction to RATM. The composition, innovation and mood of the track hint at what is to come, but is relatively simple and easy going compared to later tracks. The best song EVER!
Advantages: Too much to write Disadvantages: Don't mock 'em
...the soundtrack of my mate. Wake Up is the only song i've heard from Rage against the Machine but i reckon its amazing. Musically the chords, beats and drones are very complex, lyrically it's original and meaningfull. Rage against the Machine shine a whole new light on alternative music, i am sure that they will enspire many alternative groups in the future as Nirvana did in the early 90's. ...
