Review of And Out Come The Wolves - Rancid by
chedface
Advantages: immense
Disadvantages: the CD got scratched.
...Saw Rancid live last week and they blew my socks off.
Maxwell Murder was immense the best bass line you'll ever hear, and when you first hear the album that will blow your socks off.
every track is amazing and could easliy be released as a single which is the signs of a well made album.
Other songs such as Ruby Soho, and Time Bomb, are well good punk/ska songs which last week got everyone dancing and singing along.
this album has many catchy ...

Reel Big Fish - Makes You Happy
Review of We're Not Happy 'Til You're Not happy [PA] - Reel Big Fish by
cambria83
Advantages: Catchy, Upbeat and happy
Disadvantages: Not their best album
Ever since Reel Big Fish released "Favorite Noise" I think the question on everybody's lips has been "Will Their Next Album Be Their Last?". "We're Not Happy 'Till You're Not Happy" certainly hasn't answered the question but has certainly made it a bigger issue.
Reel Big Fish always seem to release an album just in time for my summer walks to work and there's nothing I like better than listening to their upbeat happy sound on my relaxing sunshine ... ...Fire" and as soon as I pressed play on my Ipod, a couple of years ago Summer instantly arrived in England!
Yes Reel Big Fish are back, in my opinion with some of the best material they have released in a while and have some extremely clear messages to portray within. With Song titles such as "Don't Start A Band", "Goodbye" and "Last Show" you may think they're growing tired of the industry in which they've become so successful.

There's No Doubt that this ROCKS
Review of Beacon Street Collection, The - No Doubt by
15091983
Advantages: Great tracks
Disadvantages: none
...being; No Doubt and The Beacon Street Collection! of what my review is about. I was reluctant at first to purchase this album as it doesn’t have many tracks- only 10! but I went for it and ordered it on Amazon. I was very excited to get it as I am a big fan of their latest album. I bought a re-issue of their independent release which was from 1995 The title is named so because it is a collection of their recordings which span 2 years! Some ... ...recorded in a Garage on Beacon Street! This album similar to the latest albums, have rock in it but in my view deals more with Ska influences and although sounding a bit rougher on the edges on some tracks, the album is amazing! If you had the Don't Speak single, you'll notice one track on there called Greener Pastures which was a great track and this is the album where it came from. With Gwen Stefani on lead vocals, No Doubt can do no wrong as her ...

What it says on the tin... Just Sublime
Review of 40 Oz. To Freedom - Sublime (Punk) by
BZ2886
Advantages: Potentially timeless, vast musical spectrum
Disadvantages: Not many
This album is arguably the best offering from rap/reggae/punk fusion band , Sublime. The untimely demise of the lead singer in a very rock 'n' roll manner means that with no new releases, its a good job that this album is so good. Almost thirty tracks confirms its status as one of those value for money albums and there are so many stand out tracks on this record that it would futile to list them.
The album has a very free-flowing feel to it, however, ... ...or consistency. I prefer to say that this is a reflection on its raw grit and energy. Most people would struggle to avoid finding a track they like on here and if any of the three above genres interest you then this will be right up your street.
There is a cover of 'Rivers of Babylon' which is blissfully relaxing and will appeal to fans of the old-school reggae style. While the constant switching and changing of the musical stylings means that the ...

hello destiny - goodbye goldfinger
Review of Hello Destiny - Goldfinger by
techno_man_37
Advantages: a few good songs
Disadvantages: nowhere near as good as their old stuff
Iv always been a fan of goldfinger and it had been a while since the release of a new album prior to this one being released. I had been looking forward to a new album as i really liked their new-ish material and thought that the band were getting better and better.
When this one came out I downloaded it straight away, I had already listened to a few songs they released on myspace before the release and enjoyed these so I was looking forward to ... ...are only a few good songs on their and some that i just cant stand to listen to. A few of the good songs are really good, though it feels a little bit rushed and a bit like all the songs are of different kind of genres.
I put this down to the return of the guitarist who previously left the band as he liked metal music and not punk.
He has seemed to have some influence in some of the songs and I feel has let the band down.
If you did like this ...
