I was walking through our new HMV at the weekend (it used to be Zavvi), and I just happened to spot this Reel Big Fish CD hiding in the front right corner of the shop. Being a Reel Big Fish fan I couldn't believe that I hadn't heard it was coming out, so I just had to buy it! Who are Reel Big Fish? Advantages: Innovative and varied Disadvantages: One weak track
...it. Similarly the title track Save the World Get the Girl which has a more upbeat pop beat to it overlaying some slightly dark lyrics and a bit of swearing to boot. I love the way the lyrics on this song blend and flow together, some of the timings are quite tight and there are a couple of lines that raise a smile they are so sharp and cutting.
Underneath the Lamppost is a slow which captures the innocence and simplicity of love in a working class ... ...the album probably because the lyrics are the clearest on the whole album and is similar to Out of Luck which is another simply constructed song which relies on the strength of the lyrics as the guitar accompaniment is very basic as is the simple piano chords that are played in the background.
I really do enjoy the range of this album and I can imagine that this band are going to be a big hit at the festivals this summer, I have seen their names ...
Advantages: a few good songs Disadvantages: nowhere near as good as their old stuff
Iv always been a fan of goldfinger and it had been a while since the release of a new album prior to this one being released. I had been looking forward to a new album as i really liked their new-ish material and thought that the band were getting better and better.
When this one came out I downloaded it straight away, I had already listened to a few songs they released on myspace before the release and enjoyed these so I was looking forward to ... ...are only a few good songs on their and some that i just cant stand to listen to. A few of the good songs are really good, though it feels a little bit rushed and a bit like all the songs are of different kind of genres.
I put this down to the return of the guitarist who previously left the band as he liked metal music and not punk.
He has seemed to have some influence in some of the songs and I feel has let the band down.

Having really enjoyed listening to the King Blues newest album, "Save the World Get the Girl" i bought this album hoping for another great album and i wasn't disappointed. Also The King Blues should not be in the hardcore, punk, heavy metal section. They class themselves as reggae, punk, folk. The intro is extracts from the news that clearly show the King Blues' anti war beliefs and it is accompanied by music underneath that leads into the first ... ...is a shouty anti government and war song in a reggae style. We Ain't Never Done is a brilliant acoustic song - my favourite of the album - which shows what the King Blues developed from before they wrote Save The World get The Girl. It is a superbly uplifting with some comical lyrics. Mr Music Man is a very reggae style song with themes and sounds common in reggae as well as the leader singers Jamaican accent which I struggle to work out if it is ...

Even though those are my favourite songs, the whole album in general is a work of art and brings such happiness to me :). The lyrics are incredible, they really do stand out.
