See You On The Other Side
Advantages: Packed with catchy, yet dark and twisted riffs Disadvantages: Very different sound compared to Korn's previous albums
'See You On The Other Side' is Korn's first studio album released since the departure of guitarist Brian 'Head' Welch from the band. The sound is notably different from previous albums, yet none of the songs sound empty. The album is crammed with heavy, head banging tunes such as 'Twisted Transistor' and 'Liar', but it also contains a fair share of slower, eerie songs, my personal favourites being 'Throw Me Away' and 'Tearjerker'. Almost every song ... ...that Korn have experimented with their sound on this album. However, this is necessarily not a bad thing, as these sounds contribute to the creepy atmosphere this album creates. Overall, 'See You On The Other Side' is a fantastic album, which explores a variety of styles that should appeal to rock fans in general, not just Korn fans. ...

Defining The Great Line
Advantages: Strong drum work throughout, impressive vocal styling. Disadvantages: You may wear the album out from playing it so often.
In 2004 the band rose to fame with their 'They're Only Chasing Safety' album which sold more than 350 000 copies. Underoath came back after a 2 year wait with this album 'Define The Great Line' with which the band have a great stab at success in the metalcore genre, a genre they started off in with their first two albums 'Act of Depression' and 'Cries of the Past' before moving onto the melody, scream, repeat formula of the 'They're Only Chasing ... ...for the band as I feel that this is a genre that they do a lot more successfully, and so in returning to their roots as such the band are definitely onto a winner. Underoath make strong use of their double bass pedal with this release, producing a heavy album that should go down well with many of those that listen to it.
This album is full of great tracks that are not only heavy, but also well written and effective, meaning that this is a strong ...

Hide your loved ones! Amen are here!
Advantages: Awesome album, all songs are brilliant Disadvantages: Lyrics very confusing to read
...the rifles, create your boredom, we take the pictures on the fault line"). The song turns into a more slow heavy riff for the end
Track 8 (Too hard to be free) Begins with the screeching effect occasionally heard mid song, and slowly starting with guitar all instruments pile in! For casey to sing his lyrics, the music either quietens or pauses for a few seconds. The chorus completely changes from the verse, as with alot of amen songs, very infectious.
... ...good song, HOWEVER is one of the less memorable ones. It isnt really that infectious, till the post chorus/chorus...the lyrics for this song are awesome considering the message chaos was trying to put accross.
Track 10 (Piss virus) Is quite possibly the most angry, explicit, violent song on the album. After a distortion intro, and the real singing begins, chaos screams "I f***ing hate yoooou! I f***ing hate myself". This is one where you truly hear ...

Korn Un-plugged??
Advantages: featuring Amy Lee + the cure Disadvantages: few weak links
I loved this un-plugged album from Korn. from start to finish with all the best Korn songs and covering the song Creep from Radiohead. Also doing Freak On A Leash with Amy Lee and Mixing there song Make Me Bad with the Cure's In Between Days also featurung Robert Smith. This was the first attempt of Korn doing anything un-plugged and pulled it off reasonably well.
I was highly dissapointed with how they did Twisted Transistor and slightly dissapointed ... ...with the way they did Freak On a Leash with Amy Lee and Make Me Bad with The Cure. and everything ele was somewhat between the best and the worste.. Track Listing and my rating for each one:
1. Blind (from Korn) -7/10
2. Hollow Life (from Untouchables) -7/10 3. Freak On A Leash- (with Amy Lee) - 9/10

Old School Thrash
Advantages: Great surf beats and fast guitars Disadvantages: Poor sound volume lets it down a bit
Suicidal Tendencies are old school thrash metal band from the late 80's. The thing that made them stand out from the rest of the run of the mill thrashers of that era was their fusion of skateboard and surf culture. There songs have that Californian feel to them and if you listen to the track "Surf and Slam" you're left in no doubt of the influence of beach culture on the music. More melodic than most thrash of the time this is an album full of great ...
