Who said Punk's not talented?

Advantages: Wider use of musical talents. Proving again that Punk Rock is infact talented. Wide range of topics, thought provoking material.
Disadvantages: If you are not a liker of Punk Rock, you'll hate this album, as it exploits many of the aspects of what can be considered mutually as Punk Rock today. (That doesn't mean don't buy it! Some people need to discover a liking for Punk in the first place).

This review is simply to add upon Kathryn's previous observations of this fantastic album from Nofx. Many of the people I talk to who hate Punk Rock seem to give me excuses, which when evaluated correctly, turn out to infact be invalid. The most common of these, is of course, "I hate Punk Rock because it is untalented". This record has silenced a common unprofessional remark that I have received for many years, from many different music fans alike. ...
...to do is listen to track number 5 "Straight Edge", to suddenly realise that you're going to have to think of a new reason to hate Punk Rock from now on. El Hefe (lead guitarist) sets about re-creating the song (originally by Minor Threat), but instead of just covering it, Nofx warp the song completely into a Jazz cover, featuring a particularly pleasant solo on the blues scale. Wishmaster

Advantages: Stunning lyrics, great vocals
Disadvantages: 2 songs that have identical riffs

Wishmaster was Nightwish's third album, the band themselves weren't sure if they could produce an album better than Oceanborn, they said that they put everything into Oceanborn and wasn't sure if they could top, but with this album they have managed. ...Sami Vanska - Bass 1) She Is My Sin She is My Sin is a heavy opener, starting with keyboards and distortion before a nice riff my Emmpu, the bass is very prominent in the verse, before the guitar enters for the chorus, the chorus is very memorable and makes great use of Tarja's vocals, the song is energetic from start to finish, the lyrics behind the song are hard to decipher, but i think the song in general is about sins and how we all have them ...

Rage Against The Machine Album Review

Advantages: Hard, unconventional rock
Disadvantages: An acquired taste

My favourite album

Advantages: Unique and Brilliant consistancey of good tracks
Disadvantages: Old fashion looking album design

Normally im into Children of Bodom, Slipknot, BFMV and alot more of the screamo bands. But the Avenged Sevefold have a truly unique style, the vocalist is amazing. I bought this album, and loved it. I think the best on the album is The beast and the harlot. I truly love this band and cannot wait until their next tour.
