the primary movers of the Detroit garage-rock scene. It would be hugely unfair to suggest that the Soledads success is partly down to their close friendship with Jack and Meg White, but its tempting to think that the White Stripes experimentalElephanthas led to newly progressive ambitions in blues-rock, a newly broad scope thatThe Hardest Walkcapitalises on impressively.Whereas earlier albums saw the Soledad Brothers stripped down and raw as a fresh wound, here theyve evolve into a somewhat fuller sound courtesy of multi-instrumentalist Denman, who brings organ, sitar, and banjo to the party. Of course, theres still twitchy, high-octane numbers like the Dylan-esque "Downtown Paranoia Blues" and the 60s R&B-flavoured "Crooked Crown" to careen along like a runaway steam train. But its the slower tracks that show off the Soledad Brothers range: the eerie, reverb-soaked "Dark Horses", or the skeletal break-up blues of "Let Me Down" which finds Walker exorcising the ghosts of a dead relationship over the desolate hum of a vintage organ. --Louis Pattison

Well it's another year and another release for the legends that are the Chemical Brothers.
The Chemical Brothers are two guys called Tom and Ed; the pair met while at university in Manchester in the late eighties. At this time a revolution was going on, a musical revolution. These days were the days of the legendary Manchester club The Hacienda. Dance music was really beginning to take off in all it's forms wether it be the vocal, funky house from America or acid house, hardcore or techno. Tom and Ed fell in love with this emerging scene. The pair also had a love of hiphop, funk, rock and soul. The next step for the music lovers was obvious; they began to DJ under the name of "The Dust Brothers". They earned legendary status among clubbers for their fantastically eclectic sets. But things got even bigger....

at trying to get at the other with hilarious results.
The parents decide to retire and sail Dr Dobacks boat around the world. However in order to fund the trip the family home needs to be sold. This means the sons will have to get jobs and fend for themselves. As time goes on the step brothers become close as they realize how much they have in common. They both sleep walk at night, both share childish games and neither has ever grown up.
Into the mix comes Derek and his wife, the obnoxious younger brother of Brennan. Derek works as an estate agent and is given the task of selling the family home. There are several hilarious scenes when the brothers try to sabotage any sale! His wife Alice decides she is in love with Dale and there are several very funny sexual encounters.
The plot is a very simple one and won?t tax anyone. I don?t want to ...

Advantages: Great addition to the British Music Scene Disadvantages: Maybe less original than previous albums
quick.
I do agree that maybe this album show some more of the popular appear of the other albums, but I do not think that the change has been cause by Mike Skinner changing his writing style but more that everyone is doing it, showing what such a great artist he is.
Now onto the Album. The First Song "Prangin out" was quite surprising for me. I had thought that this album would be much closer to songs filled with beats and lyrics like When We Wasn't Famous, however this is a very deep song in the way it is portrayed - the video was quite shocking if you can get you hands on it. Overall this song was much more like the old school songs that I remembered The Streets for.
The Next two tunes were a breath of fresh air. "War of the Sexes" and "TheHardest Way to Make an Easy Living" was much more what I had expected to be on this album ...
