Lryically Have a nice day is an album of pure genius. Its about getting over being down and getting on with your life when stuff happens. It talks about addiction in the track one last cigarrette freedom in bells of freedom and i think the best track is by far who says you cant go home. this track is lively, talks about what people really think and how they should act in a that situation. no matter what people think of you. Have a nice day also focused more on turning the band to a more country style which is evident in some songs but keeps the hard rock front the band had fort hard to achieve. This album is well worth buying and is a good listen whenever. It will cheer you up and you will feel differently about something if you read and take in the lyrics. It was long awaited and didnt dissappiont.
Advantages: This album consists of 14 great songs, there are no weak songs Disadvantages: All the songs are soft to medium heavy rock, so you have to like rock
...on forever, like an erternity of pure heaven. The best track is "Have a nice day" and if you like that then prepare to enjoy the entire album. This album is a must have for anyone that enjoys any type of rock and maybe for some who dont. ...

Advantages: The Latest Bon Jovi Album Disadvantages: Mellowing in his old age????
...The latest in a long and epic journey from the New Jersey star.
I own every album BonJovihave made, and have spent a few quid going to see them across the UK, so I think I earn the right to review this one!
I was firstly impressed that I managed to pick the album up from Music Zone for a steal at under a tenner (£8.97). At first listening it sounds fresh and new. After so many albums and songs I was worried that the album would sound familiar, but I have to say that as BonJovi age, so does their music. Following on from 'This Left Feels Right' (a ballad album of top hits), Have A NiceDay has a definite mellow feel to it. 13 excellent tracks, including 'Have a NiceDay' and a personal favourite 'Welcome to Wherever You Are' all of which have a distinct ballad feel to them. I personally think that BonJovi won't again be able to...

Advantages: vocals, lyrics, musicianship, evident unity of the band.... Disadvantages: ....'Last Cigarette'
...Since 2002 and the release of the bands most recent full-length, 'Bounce', BonJovi's popularity has taken something of a nosedive; hence the anticipation for the bands new album has been somewhat muted in part. Surely a band known for hits such as 'Always' and 'It's My Life' wouldn't allow themselves to fade out without as much as a whimper, surely not. The questions aimed in the bands direction became never-ending; could Jon and guitarist Richie Sambora repair some broken ties, ties that'd been beyond dodgy for some time now; could the band return to their hay-day, the days of 'Dry County' and 'Bed Of Roses' and most importantly, could the band hack it in a scene which is technically void of anyone alike themselves right now. 'Have A NiceDay', the lead single from the album of the same name, showed that not only had the guys...

Advantages: very easy to listen to and enjoy Disadvantages: is differnt from there other albums
...This album follows the bands prgression out of power ballards and heavy rocking sounds from bounce to the more gentle and relaxed country and western seen, like have a niceday. Its differnt from anything they have done and is a very good listen with some amazing music and brilliant lyrics. Like always bonjovihave delievered something good. Its not there best but it is musicaly and vocaly wonderful to listen to. The duet wit leanne Rhyms particualy stood out for me and the way the songs roll into each other musically and lyrically i think is brilliant. This album offers good driving music good relaxing music and good music to listen to anywhere at anytime really. BonJovi keep getting better with age and experience. And to stay in the music business consistanly putting out brilliant albums and sell out tours is something rare in modern...

Album Notes: U.K. edition includes two extra cuts, "Dirty Little Secret" and "Unbreakable." True troubadours of arena rock and pop-metal, Bon Jovi were not only still standing in the 2000s, they were still releasing albums of original material that packed much of the melodic wallop and anthemic muscle of their efforts from the '80s and early '90s. A case in point is 2005's HAVE A NICE DAY, which finds the band mining a harder rock sound and producing bigger, more sweeping choruses than ever before. Despite the classic Bon Jovi sound, however, singer Jon Bon Jovi's lyrics are by turns thoughtful (he even conjures the specter of Bob Dylan on "Bells of Freedom," a nod to Dylan's "Chimes of Freedom") and romantic ("Wildflower"). Though the mix doesn't always work, Bon Jovi sounds plenty energized here, and young-at-heart enough to still crank up the volume. HAVE A NICE DAY sports the streamlined rock punch and pop smarts on which the band has built its reputation.
Album Reviews: Rolling Stone (No. 984, p.154) - 3 stars out of 5 "...Bon Jovi have kept their arena anthems simple and sweaty...."
