'Crush on You' is an amazing start to this album. Full of energy and the rocky style that Roxette does so well is evident with this track. Lots of guitars and synths, with a singalong chorus, it's a great start to this album.

'Wish I could fly' is a slow ballad, and admittedly, I've never been much a fan of slow Roxette ballads, but this is a typical ballad, and if that's your style of music, you'll like this.

'You can't put your arms around what's already gone' has an unusual start, almost like scratching records. It's another energetic track with a typical Roxette sound.

'Waiting for the rain' is another ballad with a strong piano background. It's another typical ballad, with singalong bits, but on the whole, this blends into the background.

'Anyone' is a typical power ballad, with strings and a powerful chorus. This is one of the few ballads that I like on this album. The music and the vocals combine to give a memorable combination, and one of the outstanding tracks on this album.

'It will take a long time' sees us back at the simple guitar based ballads. A typical lazy Sunday afternoon track.

'7twenty7' starts fast with lots of guitars and drums. Although this is nothing different from the rest of the album, it does provide a contrast to the last few ballads, and is quite a wake up...

'I was so lucky' slows the pace again. Another slow ballad, admittedly, filler track for me.

'Stars' however is the complete opposite of the previous track. Full of energy, with a choir of kids singing the chorus, this is definitely my favourite track on the album, even if the track does sound like it's talking about stalking!

'Salvation' slows down the album again. Another slow ballad, with a nice chorus,. but on the whole, compared to the previous track, fades into the background.

'Pay the price' speeds up the tempo again, with lots of angry guitars, which threatens to overshadow the vocals. This tries to be angry, but there's something slightly lacking in my opinion.

'Cooper' is another sickly sweet ballad, with lots of strings. It's a nice track, nothing special, but well worth a listen all the same. Reminds me slightly of the Nick Cave & Kylie Minogue track...

'Staring at the ground' sees a combination of energy and the ballad tracks, but doesn't work, and this slowly slides into ballad territory..

'Beautiful things' is the final track, and as with most Roxette albums, it finishes with a slow ballad. Pretty inoffensive, but nothing exciting either. It's a pretty good anecdote to the earlier energy tracks though.

This album is good if you like Roxette. It's true to form, most songs follow their unique style, with plenty of both ballads and rockier tracks. The choice of one faster track following after a ballad is a good idea, you never quite know what is coming next. Although not a fan of ballads, 'Cooper' and 'Anyone' are memorable with gorgeous melodies and lyrics. The pure energy in some of the other tracks is true to form as well. The lyrics are typical Roxette, nothing offensive, and generally quite sweet.

This is familiar ground, nothing new & exciting, but it's like an old pair of slippers, nice to slip into after a hard day.
