Advantages: Some super tracks, nice variety of music, great vocals throughout Disadvantages: A couple of average songs
Leona Lewis' second album has been 2 years in the making, and I've very much been looking forward to the release of this. She came back onto the scene a couple of months ago with the debut single from her new album, Happy, and has been performing it on pretty much all the TV shows she can get onto. Finally, I managed to download it on its release for a bargain price on Tesco Entertainment, and sat there listening to it for the next few hours trying to determine how much I liked it. I put a copy in my car so that I could listen to it when I was driving round, and now after a good few weeks of listening, I'm ready to review and give what I hope is a rounded and full opinion of Leona Lewis' fantastic second album, Echo.
The album begins with Leona's first single from it, Happy. This is a song that people are calling a poor man's "Bleeding ...
Advantages: Classic Maeve Binchy Disadvantages: Wasn't impressed with the ending, it was a little too unresolved for my liking
Like the majority of Maeve Binchy's books, this is set in a small town in Ireland. 'Echoes' tells the story of Clare O'Brien, the daughter of a shopkeeper who have to rely on the tourists of this seaside town to keep afloat. Clare is bright, and dreams of a life beyond her rpesent circimstances. David is the son of a doctor and a class consceience mother, he goes to boarding school rather than the local school in the village. Angela O'Hara, a teacher at the school, who is the daughter of a drunk who was able to get an education against the odds, and who risks everything to help Clare escape and achieve the the same. And Gerry Doyle, a photographers son, town charmer who vows to have Clare at any price....
As always, Binchy makes each of the characters come alive with this amazing but slightly depressing plot. Each characters personal ...
Advantages: Superb Sound, Very Loud, Ideal for Ipods Disadvantages: not go to travel with, Extremely Expensive
Bose SoundDock Digital Music System
I happened to get this as a gift and it turned out to be quiet interesting
Summary:
This dock is used mainly for ipod and allows you to connet mp3 players to it and listen to high quality music via speakers. It is idle for homes and small gatherings, although I would not run a party off these.
Pros:
This system has terrific sound and can go very load despite its relative small size. As with almost all Bose speakers the quality is amazing, so long as the source you are playing it from is high quality it will allow the speakers to each its potential.
I have a surround sound Bose set up in one of my rooms but now prefer to use this product as it is very simple to operate. Just plug the mp3 player in and press play and your set. Can't get much simpler. It also runs off a wall ...
