...The moment I heard the song ' I don't wanna know ' I feel in love with it! The lyrics really touched my heart as I had recently fallen out with my boyfriend, I felt like I could relate to how he was feeling. When I heard that Mario had released an album I rushed into HMV to buy it. I took it straight home and skipped straight to my favourite song. After listening to the same song over and over again I decided it was time to hear some more of his great work! But what I heard was not what I expected.... Mario has a wonderfully soft voice for a man of his size and age. Unfortunately, I was disappointed when I heard that in all of his other songs he used the same soft tone and has not yet released an upbeat, real RnB song! Hopefully he will! I do recommend this album to soul-music lovers but if it's RnB that you want then this isn't for you... Read review

Advantages: a good album from a talented artest

...It takes a brave man in the world of R&B to sample Enya, no offense to fans of the great lady, but Mario Winans has pulled this off credibility intact for the first release from his new album "Hurt no more". "I don’t wanna know" is a pained yet beautiful number where Mario pleads his woman to keep her infidelities "on the low" so as not to cause him further heart break. Although this is undoubtedly not a good foundation for Mr Winans to build a solid long term relationship on, one thinks they need to have a bit of a chat, it does make for a really emotive track. Particularly if you’ve just been dumped or cheated upon and need something to cry along too! Unfortunately Winans is not so successful at the bad boy tunes, "Pretty Girl Bullshit" feels rather out of place. However, this aside, Hurt No More has a beautiful and emotive... Read review

Advantages: Very soulful and catchy

...This is an excellent R'n'B album which catalogues the smooth vocals of a very talented young man. It is the sort of soulful lyricism that has been lost to most artists in this day and age and to find it in such a young person is so appealing. I got the album as a present from America and I definately loved it. You can get at Amazon website for £8.99 or HMV at £9.99. My personal favourite song is 'I dont wanna know' and it is so cause it appealed to all my friends which is quite good because they'll have different preferances of music. The song Enough picks up a fast pace and as a result you can't fail to pick up the traces of Bad Boy records influence from the rap collaborations to the laid back rythm. But above all, the lyrics are beautiful, almost as if Winans wrote them addressing everyone individually. I would mostly recommend... Read review
