...Absolute wonderful compilation of there newest material, you have got everything and anything with this, with something to suit everybody, now me personally i love every single track and with 4 high successful releases including "when you were young" which was a total smash hit, you could say, "we've heard there best song, no need to buy" well your wrong, its an amazing feat but as ever the killers have pulled it off, they have got some top notch material such as uncle johnny and this river is wild which will awe-inspire your mind. the 13 tracks are 1. Advantages: A great concept album with good rock n' roll solos

...and 'rip' what you can out of them and spit 'em out. 'Chainsaw Charlie' is the next track that's about his promise that he will make Jonathan a star? The story goes on to Jonathan's dabbling with drugs and later becoming an addict, which his new friend and dealer 'Uncle Slam' is explained in the track 'Doctor Rockter'. Next is the track the 'Idol' which after a few years he tries to contact his mother but she hangs up when he rings her, which then is linked to the next track 'Hold on to my Heart' which then he can only find one way out, suicide. They finale is the 'Great misconseptions of me' which is an extended track that recaps music and lyrics throughout the album and Jonathans plea that he does not want to the 'Crimson Idol of a million' before hanging himself with his guitar strrings at his finale concert in front of his 'fans... Advantages: a must have collection
Disadvantages: for clash nutters only I think

...this is a collection of their B-sides and it suprised me because most of the songs are good enough to feature on their albums. The songs at the start really rock 1977 in particular, then towards the middle they change pace prefering to mix dub versions of the singles but I found these very good aswell especially Robber Dub, a dub version of bank robber and Mustapha Dance is a very funky re-mix of Rock the Casbah. This album is very much for a hardcore clash fan who has got all the proper albums and is gagging for more since they split up. The story of the clash isnt enough but on Super Black market every track was new to my ears as the album goes on your can definatley hear the change in style from punk to ska.... Read review
