Review of Hasbro Transformers Optimus Prime 25th Anniversary Edition

The Jaws 25th Anniversary Edition DVD

Advantages: Remastered, plenty of extra's
Disadvantages: n/a

This latest repackage of the classic Stephen Spielberg film is a must for its fans. The film itself is untouched other than being digitally remastered but the extras are well worth the money for the disc. A 50 minute documentary "The Making of Jaws" is an interesting insight into the problems during production, i.e., the Technicians strike and the creature not working. There is also talk of a scene that was deemed too violent at the time but which would make it into a certificate 12 film today. Included also are the obligatory deleted scenes, outtakes, cast & filmaker notes and trailers. There are 720 photos which were taken during filming plus the production notes which are detailed as follows: 1) Story Board and Drawings 2) Production Photo 3) Marketing Material 4) The Jaws phenomenon If you have a PC with DVD Rom ...

No one came, for miles around.............

Advantages: Another brilliant British prog rock album
Disadvantages: none whatsoever

up the level of the earlier three. I got this at HMV for the ridiculously small amount of £3.99, it came out in 1996 as the 25th anniversary rerelease. As with the earlier anniversary editions of their back catalogue, it has a 28 page booklet detailing the background to the album, how the songs were put together, and clippings from the press at the time. Roger Glover also reminisces about the making of the album, from which it appears that the band did not seem to think this album as their best, being rather rushed!! . It's worth the entrance fee on its own, even without listening to the music, but hey you don't buy Fireball just to read how it was made do ya.
