Hed Kandi - World Series Paris [Digipak] - Various Artists

Advantages: Some good dance tracks across genres
Disadvantages: Not as good as some of their other compilations

...This CD is actually a few years ago but I had heard some good things about it when i bought it earlier this year. It has laso benn credited on other music and review sites as an eponymous Hed Kandi CD. Beach House Mix DJ Gregory's Elle opens the disc with an atmospheric Spanish guitar making it an ideal Ibiza chill out track that sounds as if it should be on the soundtrack for the Beach Life game. It synchs seamlessly into Late Night Alumni's Empty Streets, followed by the full 12" version of Fade by Solu Music featuring Kimblee (I already have the Eric Kupper mix) there is an 80s style electro bit in the middle before Kimblee starts warbling again. Starting out with a bit more of an interesting tune Blue Six's Music & Wine was the fourth track which then continued on to be much of a muchness. Love Will Find A Way... Read review

...Decided to write reviews of all my favourite CD's.....so here goes Gawd....I've loved Hed Kandi for as long as I can remember, especially the Twisted Disco series, however this Disco Heaven CD released in 2002 is one of my faveourites and is always playing in my car. For those of you not too familiar with Hed Kandi, its the cool, sophisticated, trendy cousin to run-of-the-mill house music, such as Ministry of Sound or Cream. Launched in 1999, Hed Kandi has evolved from humble beginnings as a compilation brand into the global phenomenon it is today. Advantages: Excellent less know dance tracks and some old classics
Disadvantages: Non stop mix gets messed up on my iPod

...INTRODUCTION Im new to Hed Kandi so this is the first cd i have purchased from them and it wouldnt be the last. I really love dance music but many of the tracks i liked were on cd's mixed with common rubbish usually remix's of annoying ringtones, but this is pure quality. What i know is that Hed Kandi is a dance record label who arrange some of the best clubbing night's at all the top clubs in Britain including Pacha and Paridise, due to a slight age problem (16) i havent experienced Hed Kandi live just yet but no doubt i will soon enough. PERSONAL OPINION Disc 1 is called ' Disco Heaven Mix' the tracks are more vocal and quite relaxing to listen to. Most are not original but instead remix's from well knowns like 'Axwell' and 'Solid State Kandi Dub'. The opening track 'fade' by 'Solu music ' is mint and from there the music... Read review
